I love the show. I think they are just as right/wrong as everyone else in sports talk radio. They are, however, more entertaining than just about everyone else at the Score.

There's a lot of "they suck" talk that happens here. If they suck, why do you listen? That's what I don't get. It says more about the listener than it does them. Mully and Hanley blow, haven't heard anything from them in months. Don't plan on ever listening again. Did the same to North. Suck is suck. Bad is bad. Why waste your time?

Not taking about people who just "disagree with what they say" or anything like that. I guess I can sort of get that.

But if someone finds it so predictable and their opinions consistantly bad or offensive, why bother?

Once again, WSCR listener since Day_1. I listen out of habit. As for B&B, I listen as long as I can stand it. Some days it's longer than others. I still think they are the two funniest guys I ever listened to.

I actually get the gist of the shows without all the aggravation.

I have zero interest in concussion discussions, Sandusky, most non-Chicago teams, constant second guessing, always negative talk, etc. I watch a lot of sports and do so for enjoyment. I found sports talk radio was not providing a lot of enjoyment. But that is why I like Mac as I felt is he balanced in his love hate. MJH, and HFC were both very upbeat shows.....

No. Not pretending. Don't understand why someone would knowingly make themselves upset. I like being happy. I avoid the opposite at all costs. So no, I don't get it. No games, just strange to me. So far "It is what it is" seems to be the only explanation. That's fine. Still confusing...

Pretty sure that balances the force

In the past year alone, Bernstein has turned from a witty, annoying jerk into some idiot that proselytizes to people about ethics and what are proper sports thoughts (sabremetrics based baseball talk, Sandusky news, concussion awareness, etc)

Bernstein brings out the worst in all of us. It has been amazing to read the show threads over the past two weeks. There is nothing but anger, disgust, hatred, and many other negative emotions mainly generated by Bernstein. Even Mac is feeling the sting. I can't tell if this is a CSFMB revolt against B&B, but it sure seems like the sentiment has shifted. In the past, I felt like it was 50/50 if you liked this show. Now most listen reluctantly or not at all. Lots of PTFB.

The future holds the possibility to be great or terrible, and since it has not yet occurred it remains simultaneously both.

I'm just finding it quite sporting not to be an unwavering ALSer.

Nah, I think it started earlier than that. Bernstein became a miserable bastard sometime in late 2009.

It probably began during Cutler's debut season with the Bears where plenty of stupid people assumed Cutler was a finished product after 2 seasons of play. The fan reaction to his bad INT performances was annoying.

Yeah, because he has clearly proven he's beyond criticism since then.

That's a pretty fair assessment. From my end, I don't like the over analysis. It ends up getting too serious and takes away the fun. Maybe baseball can be explained and strategized with computer models. Fine. It still comes down to one guy trying to throw a pitch past another guy, and I love watching great pitchers against great hitters.
