Without any training I ran the marathon too in 5 hours asswipe. Don't get me wrong charity nice. These assbags with fake promotion blow me.

Some listener made it seem like he had no intention of running a marathon and woke up Sunday and did so. Dont you have to enter some time in advance and train?

Yeah, the Chicago Marathon is kind of a big deal and requires one to register. I don't think you just show up and run alongside people. Sounds like bullshit.

Maybe the guy registered, thought of no-showing, but ultimately did it as planned. I'm pretty sure you can't just register on-site for the Chicago Marathon. It's not a charity 5k in an exurb. In fact, if you google 'chicago marathon 2012 sold out,' you will discover that registration sold out six days after it opened. In February.

Either pittmike is flagrantly misrepresenting what happened (likely, because he posted four times in a row and seemed agitated in a way that accompanies heavy drug use) or people will go to absurd lengths to kiss Dan Bernstein's ass for giving time/effort/money to charity. (less likely, but not by much).

EDIT: It is also possible that the caller planned a family pumpkin patch outing in February when he registered.
