This is going to be an interesting thread to come back to if LeBron signs with the Bulls and they win a championship.

He would do it to win more championships. I could see him taking a 4 year $60M deal with a $10M starting salary.

Is Riley dumb enough to give him that type of deal?

It would be great if he got him and Bosh to take similar deals. It would give them more flexibility and it only $19M more for 2 years. I believe in 2 years someone would give Wade $19M for 2 years.

Dan's really become a master of the old heads-I-win, tails-you-lose argument. If LeBron takes a paycut to join another readymade superteam, he's a selfless warrior who'll sacrifce anything for another championship. If he goes back to Miami, he's a shrewd businessman leveraging his prime earning years into generational wealth. And either way, he's definitely Building His Brand, and ultimately, isn't that what matters most?

I can't see how Wade can walk away from that final year of his contract.

He needs to come back next year and prove he deserves another long term deal, or he just needs to cash his last big nut, and hang'em up.

He would only be doing it to get more money and win.

Total. He's due $41M over the next 2 seasons.

Total, maybe, but I wouldn't. At 35/36, he'll be playing in a wheelchair. He barely gets out there 50 games a year as it is.

Lebron is very intelligent. Lebron knows what he's doing. Lebron will make the right choice. Lebron always does the right thing. Lebron. Lebron. LEBRON!

That about covers the 15 mins I just heard on break.

The callers to this show are one extreme or the other. They're either complete morons who disagree with Dan or ass kissers who are so sickening that even Dan gets weirded out (but not as much as he should).

Speaking of extremes, Dan complains about narratives that vilifyLeBron no matter what, but all he's doing is engaging in the same process just on the other extreme. Now, paradoxically, LeBron is some angelic, post modern, anti-loyalist, corporate businessman of himself and the people, standing up to powerful owners and semi educated haters simultaneously, and if you're not down with his front running, I mean, pursuit of new age greatness, then you should just leave. This is embarrassingly bad thinking and I hate myself for listening in today.

He does it on everything. He looks at what he believes to be the "meatball" position and does the exact opposite. He has painted himself into a corner on Jay Cutler too. He took the unreasonable criticism of Cutler over injuries and facial expressions, applied it to everyone, and now he won't even acknowledge the reasonable criticisms (of which there are many). He can't even give his backup credit when he plays like a Hall of Famer.

He's turned into a complete buffoon. He's basically Mike North with a better vocabulary.

That's a good insight there Tad.
