In the coming new year I'll have to work on finagling Ceaușescu references into my replies.

This has been absolutely horrible radio so far. Like some of the worst ever.

Terry is so important to this show it isn't even funny. Dan needs to take a valium or something.

Maybe he can do a show with his source?

I heard him call Jim Phillips "Jimmy" a couple of times. I've never heard him called Jimmy ever until today. We get it, Bernstein. You know the guy. Bully for you, douche.

Hub is too busy coming up with more lame questions you have to answer on his website in order to read his articles.

GO BEARCATS!

Jim Phillips is nothing more than Pat Ryan's errand boy. If the Bears hire him, that decision will signal the rising influence of Ryan within the team's ownership.

well, that was a mistake. Just getting someone, anyone in the room with him would probably at least limit whatever (I've read) Bernstein's doing today.

Jim Phillips is good at what he does. NIU owes him a debt of gratitude. Having said that, this move makes no sense.

He did good things at NIU but has done pretty much nothing at NU besides buy a lot of airtime.

The only thing he has done at Northwestern is get Pat Ryan his coffee.

Bernstein is making it sound like the Bears rebuilding is going to take a decade.

How long did it take Seattle to progress from a loser to a Superbowl champion? Three years?

Well, they were established in 1974, so .... carry the one .... that's nearly 40 years?

John Schneider was hired in 2010, so it took him four years to completely rebuild the team.

It won't take a decade if you get a stud QB. All of this crap is great. New GM. New coach. New management structure. Fine. Won't matter unless you get a QB.

How many years did it take Indy to rebuild post Peyton Manning. No time at all cuz they got the next stud QB.

No GM gets 10 years to complete a rebuild.

they obviously drafted great on defense... but russell wilson was the key acquisition... that same braintrust gave Matt Flynn buckets of cash.... How many wins better is russell wilson than matt flynn because the last 2 years may not have turned out so great for seattle with matt flynn?
