#Bears source: Ryan Pace was assured of complete control of the football operation.

This is BS. Teddy is the CEO of the Bears. The GM reports to him, so he is responsible for football operations. The Bears are a fucking football team after all. What else would he be responsible for? Ted is as close to family as he can get, and family owned businesses dont usually let others have complete control over their business. There is no way in hell that they let a 37 hear old rookie GM have complete control. No way.

Dan also says Ted is not part of football operations. Unless of course it involves hiring key employees.

Agree, its day to day operation the guy will get. Sure he will have a budget, but the guy still will need to get checks cut and ted will need to sign off on them.

These are the kind of issues I bet he didnt talk about and didnt have a problem with in New Orleans. Teddy saw a guy he can control.

Note even saying it is the worst thing, as the most important part is picking players and I dont doubt Ted has nothing to do wth that and never did.

Fact is Pace can write his own ticket with a few good drafts. We will see what kind of contract the guy gets. 4 years? If he has 2 years of productive drafts, he can do what he wants.

But I assure you that if Pace does will Sweatty will be taking credit for hiring Pace. If Pace is overhwelmed, George made a bad pick.

Dan says Marshall's gone. Before they hired a GM. Yet he says the GM is fully empowered. Except apparently for Marshall.

You should call in and confront him with this. You know they'll take your call.

Nope. If Pace doesn't work out, Ernie Acorsi gets blamed. Hiring Acorsi was a ruse. He was hired to give the appearance of bringing in a football czar to help recruit, & he gives the family & Teddy a fall guy.

Sweaty isn't involved in football decisions. It's just that they guy who is involved in football decisions was required to lay out his plan before Sweaty for approval

Ah.....Dan using the classic fake source. Throw crap at the wall pray it sticks and look like you are an insider. It all started with the coach going to be fired. Anyone could have seen that coming and started all that non sense. ESPN is garbage tv network that only shows nfl highlights and lebron, but at least the radio stations aren't crap like the stuff 670 throws at us
