As has been pointed out, Bernstein is quiet on twitter. Dumb asses at the SCORE are fighting for him even though they don't realize they are fighting a hypocritical battle. Dumb ass Score people: Blog bad. Bernstein good for doing the same thing.

They're most likely drunk. If not stupid. In the case of Jay Zawaski, probably both.

Jay: Hey, I'ze ain't drunk. Me and da wife are planning a "Blackhawks First Communion" for our daughter. We'ze is trying to convince da church to make da wafer black to represent a puck. Wooooo Hoooo. Go Blackhawks!!!!

Bernstein: Oy.

If I'm Sharpie, I wouldn't sue bernstine, I'd say he call berstine on a Friday afternoon, while Danny on remote, and let him know he's currently balls deep with Danny's wife!

Threatening to sue some one "or else" can enter a legal grey area where it can be considered blackmail (not likely but could happen). You either sue someone or you don't. You can inform them you're going to sue but trying to coerce behavior by proffering threats of lawsuits is not a good look legally speaking.

When I was out in California on my first honeymoon I heard a shock jock spouting that rumor about Cal Ripken's wife and Kevin Costner. Costner actually called in and blasted the guy. It was great radio. It would be awesome if Sharp called bernstein and confronted him.

For those of you that dislike Bernstein you should be hoping this story goes away because it would only help Bernstein's career. Getting sued by a pro athlete and being proven that your inside information was correct would be great for his career. An actual trial would be national news as Deadspin and others would love to be publishing the salacious details.

None of you can honestly think that Bernstein wasn't right about what Sharp was doing.

I dunno, if Sharp really banged Toews wife, Toews is just gonna sit back and do nothing?

He never actually said what he was doing. If you mean has he ever fucked someone who wasn't his wife, I'm gonna guess yes. I would doubt he fucked a teammate's wife. A more likely scenario is that these hockey wives are all friends and one of them told Sharp's old lady some shit she heard from her bigmouth husband.

I don't think Bernstein said that though.

I believe, and I may be wrong, but the biggest hint Bernstein dropped was about the wife of the guy who ended up killing himself.

Sport smockery was the one who took it all to a whole new level and probably are going to be facing a nice cease and desist letter. I hope those google ads can pay for a good lawyer. I'm sure CBS has plenty.

Correct, Danny is not the biggest offender, but Sport Mockery isnt on the air 4 hours a day during drive time for the biggest sports radio station in the city.

I think it was Keith's wife, not Toews's, who isn't a wife at all. He's dating a bottle-girl-turned-hairstylist.

What happens? The Score gets a bunch of free press and their biggest star a bigger profile?

I wouldn't say it's that simplistic, but it certainly doesn't help. I've always suspected the WASPiness of the Tribune Company was a big reason he was never too positive about the Cubs until the regime change.

certainly true for Crane Kenney

I now have the impression that REALLY SMART PEOPLE at THE SCORE and CBS are talking about what to do with Bernstein without Bernstein knowing these conversations are taking place.

Just my hunch.

If nothing else CBS will ask Rod to ask Mitch to do his job instead of rolling out balls and letting the kids recreate. Or possibly CBS is asking Rod what the fuck is Rosen doing there?

I think there is a 50-50 chance that he finally loses. If not being fired, he'll at least be neutered over this.

He at least lost leverage for his next contract. It's THE SCORE or nothing for him. Nobody else in town will hire him. Zim knows it. Zim gets his price.

Pat Boyle was on 1000 today calling out radio personalities posing as journalists with no accountability. They made sure to say ESPN 1000 isn't in the business of spreading innuendo. Dan stepped in it this time.

It might not be what we think. Maybe just bad feelings or non renewal of ads whatever. This will not benefit CBS or the show.

It's not about a lawsuit. As we said yesterday, no lawsuit will be filed.

Dan has ruined relationships with teams and I'm sure with sponsors over this. He's hurt THE SCORE. Which means he's hurt their bottom line. And as Dan has taught us, that's all that matters in radio. "Make as much money for your bosses as possible."

Until CBS actually steps in and does something, ( which I doubt they will) Lil Danny hasn't stepped in anything. He will be just fine, as always.

Not really.....you cant make crap up and eexpect to get away with it. Hopefully Bernstein is punished for this. He played it off today saying everyone knows this stuff is going on. I hope Sharp pursues this and takes him down.

Pat Boyle's point was more along the lines of certain radio personalities that don't have to face the people they spread rumors about. Sort of like how much Mariotti was loved by his peers for doing the same type of shit.

Here is the question that needs to be asked and answered by the SCORE bosses.

Let's say 5 years ago, before Bernstein changed into the false source guy/gossip guy, if you were to ask Mitch and Zim if they would allow reports of Chicago athletes cheating on their wives to be broadcast on the air, what would their answer have been?

We'll never know. But I'll bet you their answer would have been "No".

Bernstein has taken over the station. We know that. He's bigger than Mitch at this point. Not bigger than Zim but Zim doesn't pay attention until he needs to pay attention. Now is that time.

But I find it amazing that Mitch and Zim don't question Bernstein after he starts this path. Like after the first day he went with this. It turned into 3 days. That they don't even discuss this with him. Also find it amazing that Dan has the untouchable view of himself where he feels he doesn't even need to ask his bosses.

If the rumors are true or not is not the question. The fact that he has autonomy to broadcast it is the question.

Jim Rome makes 25 million a year from CBS. I'm sure he hears shit. He would never do what Bernstein just did. Nor would he be allowed. Yet Bernstein is. It's amazing. Why?

Because they let him slowly reach this point. No checks or balances as the monster grew. That's why.

Like I said, I think policy changes are coming after this though. I think this was the slap in the face Mitch and Zim needed. They've been lucky with Bernstein. The luck ran out.
