Guess my thing is this isn’t Dan’s first twitter mistake. I’m not even sure he should be fired over it, or suspended. What gets me is Mac was fired on the spot for saying a national media person dressed like she was going to the porn awards. Wasn’t a local woman. Was a throw away tweet. Didn’t comment on a body part of hers. Just an outfit. Fired. I don’t know about that. No one seems to like him at 1000. Hood has been firing shots at Bernstein since the “Bernstein” incident and has had fun with the fishing incident. I know it makes for good 4th wall radio but that entire morning group has not had a fun loving attitude towards him. Is Dan really boasting anyone’s rating after the initial curious first quarter bump? Doubtful. He’s extremely expensive as well. There’s no way they are spending money on him.

People for years thought that Danny Mac didn't like him either.

100% it is. Are radio ratings even relevant? 2.1 share of what? Maybe some money can be had on the app or online but for context their live show on youtube right now has 220 people listening.

2.1 rating doesn’t mean shit if you can’t get advertisers to pay good money for it. I honestly have no idea how they afford Dan based on the revenue they probably generate during his show. I also love when these on-air idiots make fun of the sales team. Maybe your show sucks and is irrelevant?

I think so, I think the 3 replies after the tweet and then calling him a worm to boot should be enough to get him canned.

We learned during Terry's farewell show that Dan was basically the account manager for David Hochberg. Not sure if he has the same role with other, less mic-sniffy advertisers, but it explained why he got away with calling Cheryl Scott a whore or exploiting a mentally disabled man: he earned money for the station.
