What I can't figure out about a post like this is whether:
1) simply following the click-baity times we live in, where the poster is soliciting activity by giving zero context to the image's source (where it would be plenty easy to type in a few words to cite the source while posting the image)
OR
2)the post is just so out of it that it doesn't occur to give their fellow reader some context

Whatever the case, I can't recall how much McNeil said he "wouldn't roll over for less than $_____" was, but I can't imagine there is any sort of budget to offer the guy anything more than a per show flat payment and perhaps access to Abby's old drawers.

That still beats WJOB and trying to sell copies of "The Bears have sucked since the 80s" and forthcoming "Terry's book but Indiana and Chet" at bars in Hammond but I doubt the Score would take him back again.

It might be a good idea to have Mac work the Bears pre/posts (are they still at bars on Sundays?) so they can stop overextending Mulligan. Postgame hasn't been a destination since Doug died, and maybe a big character and Score Legend would go a way toward changing that.

Mac dropped an interesting tidbit on facebook yesterday, namely, how frustrated he was that Nick Shepkowski had all the talent in the world for hosting sports radio but never took it upon himself to get some vocal training, nor did anyone in management assign it to him. It's nice that Mac cares that much, and he's right; Shep beat Les in a trivia contest one time but also sounded like a pimply teen every time he cracked a mic, and he's like my age.

It's that broken Boers and Bernstein legacy, the idea that the fundamentals don't matter because your authenticity and sheer talent will steamroll the fundamentals. That's how you got college freshman Jason Goff walking out of a broadcasting class when the professor suggested that mumbling and slurring were generally undesirable if you wanted to speak for a living. You have to master the rules to break them.

Side note: Listening to Bleck and Abdalla (especially the latter) may make you question your will to live.
