I agree with KI, I do not feel the need to listen to get angry.
I will listen to opposing viewpoints, that is how to learn, but not from a guy who is insincere at best and a complete phony taking fake stances on issues to get people riled up at worst.
I like realism in my sports, but not negativity. Bears lose it sucks, but not going to be pissed for a week about it. I don't like the heat but if they win it is not a real tragedy in my life.
Tebow, CTE, Sandusky, Favre and Lance Armstrong talk is worse than CJH. Yes I went there.

Have listened to a total of about 30 minutes of this show in that past month and everytime I enjoy a few minutes it quickly turns so I PTFB. If you enjoy it good for you, if not listen to something else. Too much stress in the world.

VA, strong thoughts, and you are pretty close with my opinion on the matter.

I dont hate Bernstein. I like/admire him. I think he's wrong a good amount of the time. And he's smart so its fun to "debate" him here.

I dont get a kick out of ripping Grobber for saying some meatball thing.

I do however like taking such an intelligent guy to task when he's wrong or baiting or both.

And they crack me up. Boers moreso, but Bernstein is funny as hell

This is pretty much my sentiment. B&B is still my favorite show. I just get a little tired of the constant baiting of the stupid. It's lazy booking to me. I truly believe Dan, and occasionally Terry are better than that. They used to loosely claim they were the show for the smart fan. Now, not so much.

Im as confused by that /\ as you are by the haters.

Pretty sure that balances the force

What's that? Avoiding feelings of annoyance or anger? You really mean that or are you trying to make a point?

No, I mean it. I dont understand how or why you cant understand that some people prefer an opposing point of view or hearing "the other side" even when, or sometimes especially when, its delivered by an unlikable source.

Its really a simple concept. I get that you could never see yourself thinking that way, but why is it so hard to believe others do? Several people on this board openly write that they enjoy it that way.

I dont understand why thats so hard to understand

Hating exists. People enjoy it.

I hated Dan when he began on the Score. I despised his guturral mulliganesque "The Score" at the end of his reports. I bored quickly of his weekend cooking shows. His school girl giggle at non humor used to drive me up a wall.

That changed when he was paired with Terry. I really liked their work for a long time. They were not great on a level with shows like HFC, Monsters or MJH, but they were really interesting like a good independant film. They created a niche and they did it well.

I cannot really explain what the problem is today. The funny segments are not very funny anymore. Terry is generally disengaged. Dan seems more interested in projecting an image rather than being himself. All of the good information is still there, which makes the show listenable. However, the fun seems to have been removed, from my perspective, which no longer makes it must listen radio.

I'm of the opinion the show has run its course. There is, by their own admission, zero production resulting in little creativity. I think it would be best for all (except Terry) involved to break up the show.

So you understand listening to something you dont agree with, just not from Bernstein because you dont really respect what he's saying

Is that right?

Maybe the language "getting riled up" is wrong.

I mean Dennis sounds like he was legitimately having his day ruined by B and B.

Thats not how it is for me.

For me its more "Lets see what this jackass has to say today" with a smirk.

There is a park in London where Sunday afternoons are devoted entirely to debating/arguing. Arguing is good. It helps you to understand your position better. It allows you to test whether your position is defensible. It allows you to blend other viewpoints into your position. It even allows you to acknowledge that you are incorrect, on occasion.

Terry's hyprocrisy about ending sentences with prepositions is really annoying me. It happened again today. In transition, Dan says he can't stand it. His nodding parrot partner agreed. Yet Terry just said "Where they're at" twice now. I can't stand. Yes, I know this is nitpicking, but I don't give a shit. It's a pet peeve of mine. PTFB next time I hear it.

I found myself watching sports and coming to negative conclusions about everything. They take the good and turn it into the bad. I over analyzed a pitching change gone bad. Or an ill-called time out. Yes, the show fired me up in a bad way. Too heavy on negatives. Looking to criticize anyone I disagreed with. No mas for this dude.

I understand listening to an opposing viewpoint yes, but it goes too far. They have a show to fill but I dont need 237 hours of his opinion on CTE and football to understand his point. I don't respect what he is saying because a lot of times he doesn't believe it. It works to get ratings but why listen to someone being an ass just to be an ass? I got a wife for that.

I think the current state of Who You Crappin is a microcosim of the larger current show.

See, I can understand your thing. Not for me, but I get it. But if anything affects a person so much that it stops being entertaining and becomes something much more serious I just find it odd.

As with all good things the B&B run has come to and end. I think they know it. Dan would be happier on a solo national show where he can be himself. Terry? Who knows. But yes if you stay at anything long enough you become what you once were against. Who you crapping indeed.

Definitely. It's extremely lazy too. Relying on the same mouth breathers and Bernsie, wannabes. Half the time the craps are merely opinions. It's not like they don't explain the fucking concept at the beginning every week. The best craps are usually the one's Dan reads, and you still have to hear his over dramatic delivery. Yet Dan and Terry rave about it most weeks. Lowered expectations. it needs a hiatus, followed by some new blood. I know I've called twice, got on once. They probably miss some decent callers, because fuckhead Gary has to get his Bonanza reference in, and Mr Mouth and UL have to spend 10 minutes impressing Bernsie.

Did you leave a long pregnant pause after quoting the target? bernstein loves that and it allows Terry a chance to insert an odd noise that foreshadows the awesome crap that is just moments away.

So, better defender than Scottie, better passer than Magic.

How long is it going to take before they announce Lebron is the best player of all time?

Very soon. Havent they already hinted it?

I remember a few years back Bernstein laughing as he said Kobe did everything Michael did as well and some things even better.

Funny how Lebron admits his immaturity after last year's Finals only after he's on the verge of a championship.

Their Jordan hatred cancels out any credibility when it comes to them rating other players.

There's nothing to fear, Brother Ivan! It's a radio show, people listen to it for different reasons and then sometimes people bitch about it. If you enjoy the show and find nothing wrong with it, that's great. Leave it at that and abandon your quest to figure out why people post about stuff they sometimes don't like. At least you aren't writing bad posts bitching/insulting those that dare to bitch/insult B&B.

I like you Ivan, please don't change.

"HE'S A 3 TIME MVP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

My god is Bernstein going over the top with this LeBron love. I can't believe they've devoted almost the entire show to milking LeBron's hog leg. Why do they think anyone wants to hear this...?? Oh that's right, they know that nobody wants to hear this which is why they are doing it.

Dan thinks Chicago fans are ALL meatballs and morons, and loves baiting them/us.
