BRick,

If you wish to continue in your own dream world of JoPa then I suggest you not read the Freeh Report, if the excerpts are any indication he is going to come down like a ton of BRicks on JoPa's legacy.
Deadspin just released more excerpts. While they don't paint Joe Paterno in a good light, they don't really contain anything unexpected. Most people knew for a while that Paterno and others in the football program were able to keep some minor law issues quiet. It seems like quite a big leap to compare keeping a fight at a party quiet with a child molestation ring. Then again, you can have your "dream world" and I can have mine.

BRIck,

If with all the stuff that has already been released if you can't see that JoPa was THE POWER at PSU and the one most responsible for Jerry Sanduskey still having keys to the Laasch building in his possession when he was arrested then there is no talking logic with you, so I won't anymore.

Bye.

So, in your opinion, the 3 men that are likely going to jail for not reporting this/lying about it wanted to report it but did not because Joe Paterno used his power to stop them? These men were more scared of Joe Paterno than a lengthy prison sentence? These men were more scared of Joe Paterno than the shame that comes from covering up a child molestation ring?

You, WarriorDon, are a Penn State defender of the worst kind by making it seem like this was just the fault of two men! Personally, I am sickened by your defending of the institution of Penn State by just making this seem like it was two guys doing this. It's good you refuse to talk to me now because I don't know if I can converse with someone that lets all the other administrators off the hook because the mean bully Joe Paterno forced them to break the law and cover up a child molestation ring.

Don't be mad because I exposed your "dream world" where this was just a Joe Paterno problem. Personally, I think there is a lot of blame to go around. You just want to scapegoat Joe Paterno instead of concentrating on how the whole administrative system of Penn State is to blame.

It's pretty easy to just blame one or two guys, but you really need to concentrate on the bigger picture here WarriorDon.

Ok.

Naive thinking there, but your basic premise is correct, they were all equally cuplable and should all pay a hefty price, be that financially or by going to prison.

Then...

Please not the use of "equally cuplable" on July 2nd and "the one most responsible" today. So, which is it?

Most responsible in response to your attempt to mitigate JoPa's culpablity.

They were, are and in perpetuity equally culpable for the negligence that allowed Jerry Saduskey to prey upon innocent children.

Did you miss the part earlier where I said this was a completely valid way to look at this and I am only responding to those people who seemingly want to blame Paterno MORE than anyone else but Sandusky.

So let me ask this then, if "JoPa was THE POWER at PSU" shouldn't you be blaming him more than anyone else but Sandusky?

Seems like your "dream world" is very similar to my "dream world".

The Freeh report is out. While Paterno is blamed, he seems to be put on equal blame as multiple other people for most of it, and in many cases they seem to concentrate more on "administrators" which would not include Paterno.

The direct blame is not blamed on Paterno for the coverup at any point in the summary I saw.
