I think Bernstein's arrogance bothers me the most even though he is merely articulating the same thing that a lot of the liberal media people believe.

After hearing him through the years, it's clear he's not a practicing J.e.w. He doesn't go to synagogue every week. Probably hasn't been since he was a kid. Sure, he'll take the holidays off. What does this mean?

Even though he's not a practicing J.e.w, I do believe that Bernstein thinks J.e.ws a smarter and superior people. That's also clear from listening to him over the years. Bernstein probably sings "Throw the Gentile down the well" in the shower every morning.

Christians do not have to follow the dietary laws that were written for the Jews in the desert. But homosexuality is also forbidden in the New Testament. So there were some things that still carried over from the Old Testament as well. Christians do not sacrifice animals either because Christ was sacrificed once for all of mankind.

So why is it people constantly bring up Leviticus (like a caller did today) rather than the more obscure New Testament passages when they bring up why they don't dig gays? If it's clearly lined out in the New Testament that God isn't pulling for the gays why don't people bring up those passages?

I mean if Jews have to follow the dietary laws laid out in Leviticus doesn't the Old Testament compel them to be bigots as well? That is to say any Jewish person who points to Leviticus to decry gays but who also wears shirts, or cuts their hair, or works on Sunday but isn't put to death would be a hypocrite, cherry picking parts of the Old Testament in order to defend their bigotry.

So sex was smelly, disgusting and probably painful. It wasn't fun. How could anybody be attracted to anybody in those horrible times? Back then sex was about procreation.
