What do you mean? He played on horrible knees and then just couldn't do it. He was a cripple after 6 or 7 years. So he quit cuz he had to. Not comparable to Rose where they've perfected the ACL surgery and rehab unlike in Gale's time.

when you make one billion dollars don't tell me you can't play because you want to be able to sit in business meetings without your knees hurting.

Every player is available for the right price. That's different from a GM picking up the phone and calling teams trying to sell someone.

I'm too young to answer that, but I will say that I'm sure the Bears shot him up with no regard for his future health and I have little doubt the Bulls would do the same to Rose if they thought it served their interests.

No. Gale was hated by no one. And he didnt start saying stupid things until after he retired.

Yep. Black folks cannot be trusted to manage their own donations or their own bodies. God created Jews to handle those things on their behalf.

Just for the record, the thing about seizing JRW's money and turning it over to lawyers wasn't Dan's original thought, it was another Great Email From Rudy™, but as we've gone over, those emails he reads are at worst a sock puppet and at best just have Dan's imprimatur. Still, I thought that was a little gross.

No it's not, what is stupid is you think people are mad at Rose because he is hurt

Walt, that's obviously the case. Either that or they're mad because they actually believe he can play the same way he did before he ever got hurt and just "doesn't want to". That's even dumber.

just go out and hobble around. make it look like you care. fans are very gullible and are willing to believe anything if given the slightest evidence.

I'm not suggesting he's great at managing his image, but he's a basketball player not a brand specialist or marketing manager. I'd have no problem with bernstein blasting Adidas for selecting a reticent spokesman for its shoes.
