Ok, let me put it another way.

If we had a thread on here where people described their life, and I compared it to the life of Dan Bernstein, I predict that I would think Bernstein has it better for almost all of them for the reasons I stated.

Maybe Bernstein secretly hates his life. You are correct I don't know. What I do know, is that given his place in life, and what he has going for it, that he is set up for happiness more than most of us. It's ok.

As America pointed out, if you take out everything but the fact that he can show up about noon, talk sports for a bit, and then go home and get a check bigger than most of us as the end of the week, he has at least one major factor in his life going for him. I know I'd trade my job for his in a heartbeat, and I'm pretty sure you would too.

Most people would trade jobs with him, I'm sure. I would. But I also believe most people don't define themselves by their job.

He's doing good work and has helped grow a pretty large charity that he gets quite a lot of joy out of. He's got me beat on that. How about you?

No doubt he looks at a guy like Seth Davis and thinks that should have been him. Still, he sees a guy like drinky and thanks god that's not him.

Dan has the type of money where, if he got divorced, he could get himself a "trophy wife". A hot blonde gentile!!!!! The type he could never get when he was younger. But Dan strikes me as somebody who will never get divorced. Guilt is the reason why. He'd even feel guilty with his "trophy wife" after a while because he would know that everybody knows it's a "trophy wife". That would bother him.

I'm pretty satisfied with my amount of charity work.

First time I ate there was last June. Hash Hash a Go Go (one in Chicago too), and Guy's place are both nice additions. They actually did a great job rehabbing that area of the strip.

I did play craps there and lost $100 in a couple of rolls. Then I had a good breakfast.

Due to a dental emergency wound up in West LV and eating at a strip mall "hash house." Ate at the Hash House a go-go and it wasn't bad but enjoyed the local joint more. The one on State (Chicago) is comparable to Vegas, service at both is good.

Back to the ol' sports-a-roo.... I listened to a little of yesterday's show (until Bernsie went off about CTE) and caught some of today's program. I've enjoyed the Bulls and Bears talk. Show has been pretty solid when they stick to sports.
