Is there anyone creepier when talking about food? Between his shitty Blue Apron reads and then talking about how he tracks his weight and eats one meal a day, wtf.

He's reached the all time low of posting pictures of food dishes to social media as well. But dog lovers are the idiots.

Well, pittmike, I hate bernstein as much or more than you do, but you have to admit, your post above is the definition of irony.

It's not his fault. Unlimited unlabeled wine and constant deliveries of cook-by-number boxes of food has turned his life into something none of us could ever imagine.

Danny showed me his palate  when he used to be on Saturdays and talked for 15 minutes on the decadence of Shake and Bake Pork Chops :D

No wonder he's so insufferable, he only eats once a day.

Has anybody tried the Blue Apron thing? I took a look at the website. There is a convenience factor, the recipes seem not great but okay. 1 dinner for 2 people costs double what it takes to make it after a small initial investment. I think you have to buy the meat separately too. Seems crazy.

He's going to be on my podcast, Not Just Cup-a-Soup, in early June.

Why would anyone ever trust Bernstein's culinary opinion? This is the same Epicurean who routinely rhapsodizes about the virtues of McDonald's and Waffle House, the latter being an establishment one should never enter if sober.

The only commercial reads worst than this is those cringeworthy pajamagram things.

Middle-aged mooks butchering and stumbling over a suggestive ad that should be read by an attractive female voiceover.

"Imagine opening that?" :puker:

Bernstein has to watch his weight or he and his wifey's automatic > 10 lbs over wedding day weight = divorce clause kicks in.

Yeah, Blue Apron seems crazy at the price. Aren't there weight loss programs that do something similar? you pay for meals they provide. But the $$$'s there are partly based on getting the health benefits.

Tho I've gone through periods of working crazy hours; and my gf was working later as well;. and we ended up grub-hubbing it every night, when we'd both get home after 8-9 pm. That gets disgusting fast. Blue Apron might be justifiable for a short term situation like that. Just to be a bit healthier than take out /delivery every night. Wonder if they deliver to offices?

Speaking of India and take out food, I wish there were places to order India style take out/delivery for lunch in the US. with their awesome lunch contraption thing.

Not to mention his penchant for wanting to buy foodstuffs past their printed date.

I must confess that each time through the wilds of Missouri or other various and sundry places, I have to stop once for Waffle House.

I don't get the idea behind Blue Apron. If you are cooking, what is 15 extra minutes to cook something good. You can make spaghetti in 10 minutes. You can grill a chicken breast in 10 minutes

From what Bernstein says it's about getting all of the special ingredients you need to make that one specific meal. So you don't buy stuff that would go to waste because you wouldn't use it that often, if ever again.

That's the one product Bernstein sells that I might get. If you guys get it let me know what you think

The people I know who used literally did not know how to cook anything besides a microwave meal. So, it was like a training course.
