My apologies if this was posted here before, but this is a really terrific interview from a couple months ago. Interview starts at the 15 minute mark. I'm surprised he hasn't seen The End of the Tour yet. https://soundcloud.com/justnotsports/ep-19-dan-bernstein-wrote-to-david-foster-wallace |

The Wallace family asked fans of DFW not to see the film, saying that "Dave preferred being on the other side of the camera." I chose to respect that and I'm guessing Dan did too. |

that's silly. many hours of Wallace on youtube in front of the camera. i imagine the family is just pissed they didn't get a cut. |

Like so many PODCASTS, ether people freeze when the Mic is turned on or they try so hard to sound cool, that the show is boring from the get go! Nothing different about this one..."Uhh yeah, so, we uuuh...are happy to ...like... to be here" Sorry, cant get past it. Tells me everything else will be just as boring. Reminds me of putting great sports writers on other mediums because they are great writers, while they have the personality of a styrofoam cup. |

Yeah, first guy started off ok. Then when he brings in his co-host and especially the producer guy out of NY it goes downhill quality wise. And the audio on the Bernstein interview? Sounds like they used actual phones? Shite audio quality. It's 2016, Skype or LINE or google talk or whatever have way better, manipulable audio quality for interviews/callers. People who dive into podcasting and are taking it somewhat seriously but don't quickly sort out their audio? dafugg. It's not that difficult or expensive to have quality audio on a podcast. |
