Wasnt sure what the contract situation was with Speigel and I figured Mac might want him as they seemed like they got along.....although I won't mind a new co-host with Mac

I believe it. I just don't see it on Herb's facebook. Unless I'm looking at an old one. Maybe he changed it.

Yeah, that's what I think, too.

Is there anyone who is more beloved by on air talent and absolutely unnoticed by the listeners than Herb Lawrence? They float his name around on air every once in a while as if any listeners knew the producer of an occasional night show.

Fantastic. When I meet him I will enjoy the conversation.

Isn't this just fitting for Terry: Retire when a good portion of your listening audience is indisposed and probably only coming in for a day after using up vacation. Also retire during the height of the sports season.

Dan gets a bad rap for being an uncaring SOB but the one who really gave no fucks about you through his career was Terry Boers.

It's probably the end of his contract.

Let me also say that one year of Mac and Boers in midday would be pretty great.

Let the Bernstein and Bernstein show be on afterwards.

It probably is.

You don't think they would give him a one month victory lap until after the Super Bowl? He could also leave just before the holiday rush between Thanksgiving and NYD when stations seem to clear their benches.

The truth is Terry has the luxury to choose any date he wants to retire. He chose a date that is quite possibly the least interactive with fans of the entire calendar year in his industry.

Sad day. When Terry gives a shit, no one on the radio can entertain me more.

I thought the story he hinted at on air in January was that next year's Super Bowl might be his last as a member of the media?

Mac will take Teerry's place as Bernsie's partner. They'll call the show "Dan & Dan in the Afternoon".

Herb Lawrence is beloved because the Score's beta-wolves knew that lisping stumblebum represented no threat to their scraps of airtime. Now that he's a four-hour flight away, he may as well be a legend.

Why the hell would Herb spill the beans and announce Terrys retirement date?

Herb believes in personal responsibility, unlike some people.

Good riddance. Terry is an genius prevert with a case of arrested development.

Yep. That's what my guy says too.
