I probably always subconsciously knew it, but I finally pinpointed it.

His thing his to be "Seinfield". I mean all the characters on the show. He takes the episodes and does those shows and their lines as if it's his own. Sometimes he's George. Sometimes Jerry. Sometimes Krammer. He'll even be Elaine.

Much like Boers ripping off Letterman, Rozner rips off the Seinfied show for his stories and shtick.

No. You're thinking of Frank.

I never think of Frank. I do think about Jessica Alba a lot, though.

It's kind of like how Mike North, after a few years, fancied himself as Joe Pesci in "Goodfellas".

Hate or REALLY HATE Rozner, I think it's pretty clear. His dumb ass is gonna be Bernstein's next partner. I mean he's pretty much full time at the SCORE even though he's a sub. He fills in for all the shows and has his Sunday show.

You can tell Bernstein likes him (Him being Jewish matters to Bernstein. I don't care what you say). Which is key. So it's a done deal. Rozner replaces old man Boers in January.

Yeah, I thought the same thing....deep thoughts by Jack Handey. BTW, I was surprised to find out Jack Handey was a real guy.

Yeah, so was I. I used to think he was a creation of Robert Smigel and/or Bob Odenkirk.

Beardown's unacceptable post reminded me of @Seinfeld2000. krammer!

Make your reps hit the street to sell Barry Rozner in afternoon drive? Get real, Beardown.

Show will be over when Terry retires. Signal is so bad here in hayfield country most of the time I do not listen anyway. For a 50000 watt station signal is piss poor.

I don't want it to be Rozner. He would just be another deranged, unstable, weirdo, ass hole that the SCORE seems to hire. Just saying he's in. Bernstein likes him. Mitch obviously likes him. Rozner wanted Mac's job. Goff got it. Newspapers are going under. I'm sure Rozner has already taken a pay cut from the DH. So he needs this. He'll get it. Just my intuition.

I initially predicted it would be Bernstein solo. I changed my mind.

A bet? Nah. Just say I was right when it happens.

We're pushing September. Old man Boers is milking his leave. Guy can do the show from his fucking house and won't. I mean whatever is wrong I'm sure he can sit his ass in his basement and do some shows. If it doesn't conflict with therapy and doc appointments. Which can't be every day. So Terry's cracker ass comes back for a few more months. Maybe in November. His contract expires in January.

Then Rozner get it.

Wait, you mean to tell me that the Boers & Bernstein show will be no more when Terry retires? That's some Nostradamus type prediction right there. Are you psychic?

It will be interesting to see the ratings since Terry left. My guess, no difference from the previous book.

Terry never had much devotion either to the company or fans. He has always had a government worker's mentality to take every last ounce of benefit he has accrued and never work a moment longer than required by the contract.

I started listening 10+yrs ago, and he was really good. He has dipped off, and let Bernsy evolve into this liberal nutjob.

Rozner had a "nice" preachy article wondering why so MANY people were upset about the Cell's new name. "It's all about the revenue, stupid".

caught part of rozner solo show sunday morning. he created a strawman who aparently thinks the new sox park name is terrible for the white sox. he was asking why is this terrible for the white sox? I don't recall anyone thinking anything other than the name sounds dumb, no one thinks it's terrible for the white sox. none of the callers called in to say it was terrible for the white sox yet he kept parroting the strawman argument

Spot on Billy. That was his article as well. "Why don't you people understand it's all about the money?"

No we get it. It sounds silly. A down arrow is a metaphor. But have at it.

That is patently false.

Terry gave up being a reporter to try and cut out a career in radio long after most people would have left the comfort of his print gig. He worked hard to get better at radio when he took the full time Score gig. His eforts may be poor the last few years but that was decidely not the case when he started at the Score full time.

He wrote an article associating the name change with the Ligues.

It is patently true.

Your example rings about as true as Trump's example of his sacrifice. Terry, out of all those guys who took jobs at the Score, had the most marketable skills to fall back on should the station fail. However, that is not the point of my post.

Terry saw an opportunity with some downside but lots of upside and he took it. That doesn't show particular devotion to his company or fans. Mc Neil has detailed in the past that when they were together, Terry regularly warned him not to embrace the fandom. If the Score evolved as Terry wanted it to, sports radio in this city would have just been a continuation of the Chet Coppock top down radio that previously existed.

On the corporate side, guys like North and Mc Neil busted their humps beyond the 4 hour shifts to get the station name recognition and profitability. Terry never rolled up his sleeves to do the dirty work.

I worked there. And I saw the effort. He absolutely rolled up his sleeves the first few years he was there. And Terry hung out with fans, just not as much as Mack and North did.

Furthermore, he changed careers after the age of 40 when he could have retired quite comfortably from the print business. Most men don't do that.

What? Terry could have retired at 40? Comfortably, no less, as you suggest? Are you a dumb ass? He had 4 kids at the time. I think his twins were very young at the time. How much do you think newspaper guys were making back in 1991? Obviously you think millions a year. Not true.

Plus, I remember Mac once saying his initial Score contract was for 50k a year. So Terry obviously got about the same. He's leaving a high paying newspaper job, which is what you believe, for 50k? I don't think so.
