Sorry new topic but no one cares to make show threads anymore. Just now, Dan and Hub discussing football with callers. It was all pretty vanilla until a caller comes with the Alshon question. Hub informs the callers that he is being paid like a monster and shouldn't have complaints and blah, blah blah. They go on to talk about real stuff about Alshon and Larry may have also chimed in. But then out of the blue Bernsie needs to jump in and say how quiet or informed or in the know voices say Alshon says "he does not want to be a Bear". They were juxtaposing with Long saying he wants to be one for life. But Bernsie is a maniacal manipulator and makes shit up and bumps it here and there until it is true. Unless it becomes not true then he is like well things changed. It is so stupid. Why cant they see they have a serious audience and play to that? Anyway, fake Bernsie fact number two. They rejoined after a break with some live Who song that even me a music guy didn't give a shit about. He jumps in with "Hub is a Who guy. Is that XXXX from Live at Leads?" Is radio aimed at people so much dumber than we are? Really? |

The Ashlon whispers are widespread. It is quite possible that Bernstein radio is so super intelligent that mere mortals cannot grasp the daily genius of the programming and the wisdom imparted by the main host and his band of parrots. Quote the Bernstein nevermore. |

Tuned in a little before 6 and Leery was saying how he might go to a Nebraska (?) football game and bump into Gabby Union. Not Gabrielle, "Gabby." I don't think I have ever seen her referred to as "Gabby" before, but maybe she's "like a sister to him" and they have a special bond...or something. |

Most likely just Leery being so insecure that he thinks people will think he's cool if he acts like he's friends with a celebrity. |

I ran into her there last year. Is there a yawn emoticon. |

It is pleasing to watch her exist |

In my experience, there are a few states that people come to Illinois/Chicago from and cannot really wrap their mind around the lack of drooling college sports retards, and every other ugly aspect that follows those people around. There are very nice and 'progressive' parts of South Carolina but it can be just as college sports weird as any other state that has that problem. It can feel like another planet. Alshon Jeffery probably belongs in the South East. I might be okay with that. Im leaning towards being okay with that. |

This was really 9/8 but oh well. Dan showed his cards again yesterday while interview the female that formerly was the CEO of the Raiders. He has done this before but seemed more noticeable to me this week. He read some "informative, well done long form piece" from some guy that I'm not sure was really smart or not. Anyway, it had to do with the league getting younger and how the CBA, injuries and whatever else affects the league due to that. His point for a couple weeks has been that the league quality of play is getting much worse. When he wants to push he takes a single thing he's read and forces it into interviews where it doesn't necessarily fit. He did this three times this week at least the last being the CEO lady. While trying to be so smart asking a "long form" question the interviewee is like wtf is this about. Oh well this bugs me. |

He's also been suggesting that Robbie Gould was cut because he was the union leader of the Bears and John Fox didn't want him around any longer because of that. In addition, he's making these suggestions that there could be a power struggle between Fox and Pace, but won't go as far to say that it's accurate. |

The union will probably just go away now. |
