Dan is really excited that the really smart people might win a World Series. Barry is excited too even though he claims not to be a Cubs fan. Which is cool. I'm not knocking them for liking the Cubs. Why Barry won't admit it is beyond me. But he thinks it makes him cool to say he's not a fan I guess. These two hate the talk of goats, curses and Bartman. I'll be honest, I won't hate it if the Cubs won, but if some weird shit happens that makes them lose I'd be cool with that too. That's a story. Media always says they root for stories. |

yeah i was gonna say "wtf is up with 'ralley'?" but boyd beat me to it. honestly "ralley" sounds like a nickname for some girl-next-door type chick who has always wanted the protagonist for years but he never noticed how beautiful she was until she got the 80s/90s teen movie makeover where they did up her hair, got her in a purdy dress for the dance, and of course got rid of her glasses in favor of contact lenses (the most important part of any 80s/90s teen movie makeover) i haven't tuned in yet.... is bernstein still clutching his universal disclaimer of "THE PLAYOFFS ARE A 100% CRAPSHOOT!!!" so that way he can extol the cubs to no end, but if they end up losing he's so totally not even 1% wrong because MLB postseason is 100% LOLRANDOM?! i wonder if he's going to allow himself to embrace his inner meatball (a maneuver that usually costs extra with hookers) and jump out in front of the cubbie pride parade and be the fucking grand marshal that leads us to the promised land, of course 100.0% brought to us by REALLY. SMART. PEOPLE. ?? |
