It would be quite a thing if Bernstein pulled the ultimate Bernstein and countered the unbridled enthusiasm (that's what did in Billy Mumphrey) of Purps and The Playa' over the Cubs winning the World Series with flat and dismissive "Why do you care? A bunch of highly paid mercenaries, most of whom have no ties to your city, you, or your dead relatives, won a baseball game. I didn't even watch it. I helped my children with their homework."

Nah, Rozner will be on to beat his one home into the ground again.

I predict a big portion of loudly authoritatively exclaimed "THEY. TOLD. YOU. WHAT. THEY. WERE. GOING. TO. DO!".

there will be a call to hold to the randomness of the playoffs and to celebrate Theo's regular season success. Providing work cooperates.

You see Tad, Danny was a simple suburban boy. You might say a know-it-all, who got himself mixed up in the high stakes game of social justice and being a smart sports fan.

If they have Rozner on, everyone should blow up their radios. Even the ones in their cars. While they are driving.

If Terry is not on at least for 5 minutes today by phone/ISDN, he is never coming back. And sadly, probably a dead pool pick for 2017.

I want Dan to bust up a caller that starts out with he was a lifetime Cubs season ticket holder. Muttered under his breath "sigh, doesn't matter".

OMG! I just heard Bernsie's prerecorded promo spot for the show and the Cubs. He actually faked his cracking emotional voice to announce the win and all the crap is over now.

You think "Team Bernstein" is thinking about this guy today? Maybe a little bit happy for him?

Boers, Bernstein, drinky & Goff: Nah, fuck him. Hope the cancer comes back.

Beardown: Yeah. That's what I figured. Anyway, congrats to Mike Murphy. This is a guy that loves the Cubs more than many family members.

I actually did see Bernstein taking swipes at Maddon's decisions on Twitter. I was surprised he was willing to disagree with any Cubs decision.
