I'm new to the board so don't come at me too hard. What's with this "movie reference"? It's not funny, and if it was at one time it's completely worn out. This show has changed a lot over the past year it seems like Dan is bored with this job and thinks he should be Dan Patrick by now. |

I think it can be funny if used sparingly, but I agree that yesterday they went overboard. Welcome! |

Welcome to the board. Most of Bernstein humor is driven into the ground in an attempt to make it funnier, much like how letterman does it. Buttafuoco. Buttafuoco. When a dumb joke falls flat, revert to a silly punchline. Buttafuoco. |

RPB mult? |

These are all drinky dervied things that he feels is hilarious. But the sound bite of "Movie reference" comes from Phil Simms. I think he was doing a Seahawks game and clever Phil said something like, "Boy, the Seahawks are 'Sleepless in Seattle' today. Then the dumb ass felt that he had to tell us that his line was a "movie reference". But the funniest/dumbest thing Phil Simms did was during the Bears-Ravens game. A big storm was coming. They were showing a map of the storm coming in. And Phil Simms circled Chicago and said "This is Chicago in case you can't see it on the map". Chicago was written on the map. |

'83' is OK if it happens organically. It's dumb when Matty jumps in and says "Yeah Dan... I was so hungry last night I ate 83 tacos." |

depends on who is on the other side of the glass too. There are some references that are a little obscure that i love picking up on and hearing the sound byte drop nearly the same time. a quick wit on the button definitely helps as opposed to an idiot just looking for the circle jerk |

Kinda takes the luster off it... Just a little. I did knit a sweater for my penis that I wore whilst swimming naked in the 55 degree pool of naked boys. It was too big for Mr. Happy after he shriveled. |

It is Exhibit A of why he isn't funny at all. |
