Look, when the ball is thrown up, there's gonna be a difference between the two of us, and I'm gonna let you choose which is which.

Bernstein, upon hearing the announcement from Terry, will display no emotion what so ever. Will have no reaction.

Drinky will hop on the air to say "Ahhhhh, Terry, I love you. Ahhhhh and I will miss you."

From the sounds of it he retired a while ago.

Boers, in a shocking development, will sing this song to Goff during Transition. Goff always thought Terry was his hero. Little did Goff know, Terry considered him his hero...

2nd. And I know you're just mocking me.

Have to make it clear that it was me that had it first in case people didn't read the show thread. But I'm not against the thread. Good for you.

I know it won't be a popular opinion but I think Boers has rode coattails throughout his 25 year employment at the station.

We are lucky the station did not evolve as Terry foresaw it when he joined.

The 2nd part of your statement is probably true.

However the first part can be argued the other way around as well. Mac and Bernsie neither one would have been as good as they were without Terry being their partner.

Well, sure, I'm not implying he did nothing. However, when HFC was put together by bosses, Terry was the headline name but eventually became the secondary talent. The same is true to an even greater extent with B and B. There is a skill to being a second banana but neither show would have flourished with Terry doing the heavy lifting.

Boers is the sole reason that B&B lasted so long and was as successful as it was. Bernstein needed a partner like Boers that kept the show on track and also fun. The more power Bernstein got the worse the show got.

Bernstein is going to be exposed with Terry gone. His shows aren't fun to listen to especially with someone like Rozner.

Hasn't that already been seen this summer with Terry sick? Bernsie and a rotating corps or blah apparently are just fine as long as they have the cubs bringing in the listeners.

The rotation of co-hosts has been enough to keep things at least somewhat similar.

Can you imagine 10 more years of Bernstein and Rozner?

God, please no. My point is after this past summer I have no idea what it will take to get rid of Bernstein.

Bernstein and Hood would work

He is Garry Meier.

Some also forget Terry was only half time at best when the Score and Danny Mac started. Splitting time with Hanley.

Over the past 10 years Boers was better without Bernstein but Bernstein was worse without Boers except when he was paired with Hood.

Agreed. In an alternate and better timeline, Hood is able to come back 'home' to host w/ Dan when Terry rides off into the sunset, or into traffic if one prefers.

How imminent is this retirement? Is this another "after the Super Bowl" thing?

Mitch isn't a guy to make bold moves. He is a caretaker.
