Boers on his health: "There's no dire prognosis."

So I guess we were wrong. But Boers made it sound that way.

He moved a couple of years ago from Mokena.

Who's 'we' exactly? Just because you and/or Curious Hair decided it was so doesn't mean 'we' agreed with you ... sure, some did, but some voted for Trump too.

A couple little hints there about how he views Bernstein. Overall its a Terry piece. A lot of words saying nothing in particular.

Certainly, that's Boers' plan moving forward, once he puts the health issues behind him.

"Supposedly, I'm going to," he said. "There's no dire prognosis."

Supposedly

maybe terry feels like once he stops being on a 50KW [blow]torch of righteousness that he's going to stop being significant and then he'll be reduced to being "just another old asshole in...." --- yeah actually i'm stopping that sentence short to address the other issue that kddidit brought up: isn't terry from mokena? that's what i always thought, but maybe on a half-mil/yr he could get a new estate in luxurious orland park?

FTFY. lord knows "the memoirs" has been made out to be "kind of really a PRETTY FUCKING BIG DEAL, dontchaknow?" over the years... like he had to wait til he was effectively/retired cuz he was gonna spill some beans, burn some bridges, and throw some babies out with the bathwater as we come to find out that "breaking bad" existed only to get the term into the public consciousness so it was easily accessible to describe THE book when it comes out =D

I would love to hear some of the behind the scenes stories, especially from the travels to various Superb Owls and the drunken hijinks. My guess is a lot of that will be the WHIVSIV though.

He will break bad on the easy one's like Chet and Murph. He will give guys like Bernstein a pass.

Terry always said he would retire and never watch games again, just go to the track. I see it frequently with guys who like to talk about how they will disappear upon retirement. When retirement is years away it is something the dream about. As it nears, it is something they dread. One of the kick in the balls about life is you retire when you have the least amount of activities to retire to.

I remember Terry talking about his book years ago and said he thought it would sell 750,000 copies. I think the audience for something like that is pretty narrow and he'd be lucky if it sold 7,500.

Literally $.01 on Amazon, plus $3.99 shipping.

I think he said he wouldn't watch the NFL. He loves baseball. He'll watch MLB.

Didn't someone calculate that their daytime listenership is something like 10,000?

Their fandom is nowhere near as loyal as it used to be and some don't read. Maybe Sir could demand it as his textbook in class to bump up sales. He missed the boat on maximizing sales by about 10 years.

I'm not gonna buy the book. Some of you will buy it and post the good stuff here. So why bother?

I don't know what can be new about the Mike Murphy/Chet Coppock bashing. He's told those stories enough. But if he bashes somebody new that will be interesting.

I'm looking forward to the stories about him and Mike Downey stubbornly hanging on to the 50s with ducktail haircuts and leather jackets while working on Mopar muscle cars in Steger driveways during the heart of the Vietnam era.

I have a buddy who lives in his neighborhood. His is an "empty nester" townhouse - nothing big or fancy, and no stairs to fall down in his wheelchair.
