That's what he said today as the reason why the show was so good.

Drinky, you are very naive. Boers, no ego, maybe. Bernstein, no. Massive ego. Boers just followed Bernstein's lead the last 7 or 8 years anyway. He just was content in collecting his 500k salary.

Drinky cited the fact that Boers and Bernstein never tell producers to do anything. Drinky also cited the fact that B&B never ask producers to help them with show content.

Drinky, that's the ultimate ego driven talk show host. He doesn't care what you think!!!! You don't get that? That's ego. He doesn't care about your opinion for how the show should go. Or your opinion on anything. You take that as lack of ego. It's anything but that.

But you sounded kind of proud when you said that. Happy that your bosses don't need you. Happy that they don't ask much of you. Happy that all you have to do is book guests and answer the phone. And that's cool. Good for you. You made it sound like it's the easiest job in the world working for Bernstein. It's cuz Bernstein thinks you're a dumb ass. You really don't get that?

Drinky doesn't know what "ego" means.

I think he was just thanking B&B for making his job easy. Thanking them for not asking anything of him. And he used the word ego. Cuz he's dumb.

But, what's wrong with a talk show host asking something of his producer? Is that really bad? Drinky thinks so. He came from Mike Murphy, though. That might be the extreme example cuz Murph was crazy I guess. But a producer doing stuff that is asked by the host is kind of the job. And it doesn't mean the host is an ass hole. It just means he wants stuff to help the show sound good.

Now with that said, everyone knows Bernsie has a huge ego.

But I think drinky was mainly talking to Terry and I think he is right.
