You did well in both the planning and execution of a memorable Score moment. I also think you did very well as the narrator of the event. It was an excellent decision to give the old guys both individual segments and then a panel discussion.

Good luck on your future at the station.

For the most part. The last half hour was weird and depressing. But other than that, nice job drinky.

What was hilarious was when he leaned back and looked at Terry when North was on. Like 2seconds later, Thanks Mike for being on.

Drinky didn't take my advice. Should have had a Mike Murphy pinata set up at the end of the show. Terry and his grandkids beat the hell out of it, then he rides off into the sunset on the shoulders of all of his producers.

He should of had Murph as a special guest. I would of laughed my ass off.

I imagine they reached out to him and he wisely declined.

It would have been nice for two guys suffering through similar circumstances to bury the hatchet as they reach their conclusions. The whole affair sounds like nothing but silliness

According to Mac, Murph never responded to the email invitation.

Why should he respond? Murph was intensely disliked by the Bernstien crew ( which Terry was part)- and used as a punching bag way after he left. Murph never got a real send off and his issues with Mitch are well known. I wasn't a fan of Murph, but he delivered the ratings wherever you put him, and he did whatever shows they had for him. Given the vitriol between Terry and Murph, it should have been Terry who should have reached out after the email was not responded. As someone said, the both have had cancer, it would have ben great to bury the hatchet - and terry could have been the bigger man - but wasn't - and that is evidenced by him talking the bait when Mac brought it up

Drinky deserves the host job alongside Bernstein.

Well he has been answering the phones for 12 years, telling awful jokes and stories when they let his dumb ass speak. He's gotta be capable.

I don't think Abattaclueless had a prayer at that gig until he started the full court press of sucking Terry's dick the last 2 months..now Terry went to bat for him with Mitch and Mitch is considering rotating him in with Rozner or taking Rozners spot. I hope he gets it, the ratings will tank and maybe I will see the house cleaning I've long sought.

Drinky doesn't belong on college radio let alone the third largest market.

As it has been pointed out several times, Murph lacks the ability to laugh at himself. And as Mac said, he was the one who started the Murph is gay innuendo, but for some reason, Murph's venom was directed at Terry. Completely normal.

B&B have spent the better part of ten years pounding Pappy, yet he was happy to be there. I'm not even saying Murph should have been there. It's a common courtesy to politely decline an invitation when you receive one. He wouldn't even need to give a reason. Not even responding is childish, and lends credence to all of the things Mac and Boers, and seemingly dozens of others, said about him.

The second hour with Mac and the boys telling self deprecating stories was pure radio gold.....compare that hour to the garbage 5th hour, where Bernstein and Holmes just talked about themselves, and self promoted showed first hand how the new regime at wscr simply doesn't "get it".....

I caught 45-55 minutes, I like Terry..he mailed it in years ago but I tuned in to hear his farewell.. Mac was outstanding, I turned off Abattaclueless, Rongey, Goff, Larry and Bernstein. That's how i feel about the station, it just blows..zero talent, I would have liked to hear North.

Find the podcast from the first couple hours.

North was on a lot.

Perhaps a little too much. The North and Buffone show was my first Score listen, but a little of Mike North goes a long way.

Larry's repeated "I adore you" was beyond creepy.

Post subject:  Re: Great Job drinky

I think one of the main reasons North was there was because he wanted a few minutes on air of a station that reaches as many people WSCR. Abbattacola, Rongey, and Zampillo were very awkward and unfunny self, Bernstein's speech was the equivalent of a human turd doing a belly flop into the punch bowl, and I changed the station as soon as I heard Leery say "Hi Uncle Teary." as I assume whatever he was going to say was either going to be incredibly self-congratulatory or creepy. Based on what RedskinGreg said it sounds like I was at least half right.

Most of the rest of it, which was the majority of it, was enjoyable.

It reminded me of a time when, even though there was never a time when I liked every show on the station, there was at least one show I tuned in to every day and some weekend programming I enjoyed. Now, there is neither one weekday show I listen to on a regular basis nor a weekend show I enjoy and i can't remember a time when there were so many people on the station I actively disliked...and that includes a time when Tom Shaer, Mike North, and Mike Murphy were all on the payroll.

Drinky had quite the little honey fawning over him at the farewell broadcast. She did not stay until the end though.
