This poor bastard.

1. Drinky is working for Goff now. They joined each other as producers at the same time and Goff is 10 years younger.

2. The new guy they hired is not only an outsider, but 15 years younger.

3. It would have been less of a slap in the face if it were Rozner because he's older and a long time SCORE guy. The Parkins hire stings a little bit more than a Rozner hire. Ok. Maybe a lot more

4. Contrary to what Good Dolphin suggested, Goff will not ask drinky to get him a cup of coffee on day one. Goff is sensitive to this situation. He'll wait a month before sending drinky on food and coffee runs. That's what brothers do!!!!

Nope. I root for the greater good of sports radio. Always have. Always will.

Drinky, on the other hand, roots for teen age girls at Blackhawks parades to get knocked up and have bastard children.

This is like the 7th or 8th time that drinky has to say "Congratulations" to a co worker through gritted teeth. Now he's gotta do it twice. To the new guy and to Goff again.

I'll tell you one thing, drinky is gonna hate the new guy. And since he's paired with Spiegel, whom he's always hated, he can now take shots at both of them in the safety net of the B&G show.

you are naive BD. as dumb as i think abbattacola is, he isnt dumb enough to not understand where he stands with WSCR... that was made clear to him years ago. this is not a surprising move

He's still like the guy in Dumb and Dumber, though. When there is an opening at the SCORE, like Jim Carey's character trying to get with the girl, he always says "So you're saying there's a chance!!!!"

I presume Abbatacola is a professional. If he hasn't gotten a full-time show by now, I would guess there was a conversation with him by management some time ago about where they see him being the most valuable.

I would have been fine with a Bernstein and Abbatacola show. But then again, maybe that's why I'm not in radio.

Parkins: Great. That's great. Listen, I've heard you on some podcasts when I was in KC. I don't want shtick from my update guy. Quite honestly, you tell a lot of bad jokes. I mean really bad. It brings down the show. It's one thing that you read copy bad. Nothing we can do about that. You're gonna get smarter. But can you just do it straight. No jokes. No commentary. Got it?

Drinky: Fuck you. I've been here 15 fuckin years mother fucker!!!! You were still in high school when I started at the SCORE. So if you think you can tell me...

Not surprising to us, to Abattaclueless, he's shocked. He's put in 15 years, Terry went to bat for him, He thought Bernstein wanted him ( he didn't) he's seen Larry and his lame ass part time show survive simply on sucking Mitch's dick, he thought it was between him n Rozner.

Hit Drinky up on twitter earlier in the day to ask him why he had been demoted to updates, rather than co-hosting. Never got a response.

Like I've said, I wonder if drinky is no longer the producer. He might be full time updates now. He's done it every day this week. But I don't know if it can be full time. Cuz they have to squeeze Zack and Ranger in every now and then to give them shit to do. Julie has middays full time. Grote has mornings until the Cubs start.

Guess you guys don't listen as closely as you claim to. If you've heard the new Illinois Media School spots, Drinky now introduces himself as "update anchor and host". He's not the producer of that show anymore.

I feel bad for drinky. I don't think he is demonstrably worse at radio than a lot of these guys whose careers seem to effortlessly progress.

I don't think update anchors make as much as executive producers at the station
