Post subject:  1/24: Private industry should improve public infrastructure

Dan thinks MLB teams should invest in improving the infrastructure of the Dominican Republic, because so much of their talent comes from there, they could easily pay for better roads, more streetlights, etc., it would be "a drop in the bucket".

He hasn't gone as far to say that it is the duty of MLB or their teams to do this, and has since started to walk back his thoughts in the following segment, but still:

The Dominican Republic might have bad roads and poor lighting, but these guys are dying because of that. They're dead cuz they are DUI. Same with that MLB player who died in the boat. That had nothing to do with bad waters.

That was like listening to two friends in high school that were high for the first time.

Jason: He he he, Oracle penis

Dan: He he he, yeah, shrunk penis

Jason: Dude, my car is still in the shop

Dan: Does it have a small penis

Jason: He he he, yeah, Oracle penis

They don't even want to pay for the stadiums in which their teams play. This will not happen.

Not sure about the legality, but it would set an incredible precedent that would put the MLB in a bad position. I'm sure every other country would line up outside their door and say, what the fuck?

Why would it be illegal? MLB is a private industry. 32 individual owners. They can give their money to whomever they want.

It's still a stupid idea. It's the booze. Not the roads.

Right. So it'd be cheaper to give any DR player a 24/7 driver.

The part of the DR I was in while certainly not rural were not filled with potholes. The drivers were a problem not the roads. But this is typical mindset of Danny do gooder.

So wider, freshly paved asphalt death tracks for a who gives a fuck driving populace?

Can we put up cameras and stream the carnage?

It was nice to hear Joe from Evanston is still holding on, but that stroke killed all the anger. It's just not the same $5000 suit.

The Latino's need to stop drinking and driving and/or driving like maniacs in their sports cars.

Problem solved.

The strange thing in this subject is it is all over the place. Spiegs and Parkins went over and over on how DUI is dumb, a mistake and one needs to be accountable whether one finds it tragic or not. I am certain I remember B&B thinking similarly. To go from that all the way to MLB needs to improve Dominican infrastructure is really an example of how talk radio will just say anything.
