I'm not joking. I think the answer is "Yes". Especially now that he has a bigger platform with Bernstein's afternoon audience. While I think he's off his rocker with a lot of his cries of racism, I won't deny that he is Chicago's leader in race relations. So that's a compliment Goff. You have officially taken the torch from Jesse Jackson. I like you better than Jesse Jackson. |

Granted, Goff wins it by default because he's the only one in Chicago willing to engage in race talk. Goff will call a cracker a cracker. Even when he's got it wrong. Which is far to often. Others aren't willing. We all know Goff loves basketball. But he loves race talk just as much. |

It's actually a great story. Chicago was introduced to Jason from Evanston calling Da Ma Na as a kid. Then he struggled as a lowly producer for years. Then he became an NBA expert. Then a full time talk show host. Now, all of a sudden, he's a civil rights leader. (I'm crying right now.) |

I started the thread before the show started. Just wanted to note Goff's rise as a Civil right leader. People turn to him when race issues arise. He's often uninformed, ignorant and wrong. But that doesn't matter. So is the President of the United States. |
