The show being this basketball centric when terry was still there . They obviously talked basketball but not nearly at the rate they do now. Sorry if this has been posted before but it's becoming increasingly annoying |

It has become more basketball centric for obvious reasons... |

It's the only sport Goff can talk about so they are stuck. He should go back to Sirius. |

Dreadnaught847 wrote: The show being this basketball centric when terry was still there . Yeah, they always talked about how amazing it would be to have a drink with P.J. Carlesimo and stuff. Now it's just "people say LeBron James isn't good. Well, I've got news for you, honey! LeBron James is good!" |

Sorry if this has been posted before but it's becoming increasingly annoying Goff thinks he's a "brotha". He's just a guy. He's not even racist, because I don't think he really believes half the racist shit that he spouts. I think he just wants to be accepted into The Community, so he over-spews the company line. How else could the Belizean Douche say, over and over again with such pride that he never saw 'Field of Dreams' - okay, asshole, we get it - you think that you are a lot cooler than you actually are! That's why he flaunts his 5 figure salary by buying things he really cannot afford and by wasting money on lavish luxuries instead of saving it - he wants to be the Black James Bond, accepted by The Hood. Bernstein has given up chastising him for such stupidity. And I sure hope his new young wife isn't listening in as he talks about how hot the girl at the store was. I can see if you've been married 10+ years maybe having that conversation once in a while, but has this dude even been married a year yet? He wants to be something so bad! The best don't have to try so hard, though. He may not quite be Homewood-Flossmoor soft, but even Skokie is 10X worse than Evanston. Wise up and go get you some "Nike Money", dummy. |

LEBRON. DAMN. JAMES. The reigning, defending... conqueror of the NBA was gracing our fair city. That is worth spending a whole show on. And the Bulls prolly not going to make the playoffs. Get the hoops talk in before beisbol takes over. |

Hawks weren't playing, not that they really have hockey thoughts. It's still preseason, not that Goff wants to talk Cubs anyway, and the Sox are gonna suck. The Bulls/NBA trivia questions from Bernstein are yawn inducing. It was a bad radio day. |

the NBA is the most left pushing organization (subsidizing wnba, wanting a woman coach, whining about NC's bathroom law, etc etc) so its going to get the most coverage by the left leaning sports hosts. |

I'm really putting on my Beardown hat for this one, and Beardown himself may have even made this point before, but sometimes I wonder if Jason loves LeBron James so much because he tries to see himself in LeBron James. As "Jason from Evanston," he was a child prodigy of talking about sports on the radio, he left his hometown to pursue greatness, but returned home prepared for even greater glory. Brothers love the monomyth! EDIT: I suppose it's also arguable that LeBron belongs to black America more than Michael Jordan, who could fairly be said to belong to the universe. |

I never took it that far. But that is a good theory on your part. Well done. Goff does have that type of dramatic view of himself. It is true. Jason doesn't just "love" Lebron James. He's "In love" with him. If he ever got the chance to meet him he would faint. Jason: Mr. James, I just want to say that you're a grown ass man. Despite what everybody says, I think you're great at basketball. I love you. Will you have my baby? Lebron: Security!!!!! |
