The show being this basketball centric when terry was still there .
They obviously talked basketball but not nearly at the rate they do now.

He's not even racist, because I don't think he really believes half the racist shit that he spouts. I think he just wants to be accepted into The Community, so he over-spews the company line. How else could the Belizean Douche say, over and over again with such pride that he never saw 'Field of Dreams' - okay, asshole, we get it - you think that you are a lot cooler than you actually are!

That's why he flaunts his 5 figure salary by buying things he really cannot afford and by wasting money on lavish luxuries instead of saving it - he wants to be the Black James Bond, accepted by The Hood. Bernstein has given up chastising him for such stupidity. And I sure hope his new young wife isn't listening in as he talks about how hot the girl at the store was. I can see if you've been married 10+ years maybe having that conversation once in a while, but has this dude even been married a year yet? He wants to be something so bad! The best don't have to try so hard, though.

He may not quite be Homewood-Flossmoor soft, but even Skokie is 10X worse than Evanston.

As "Jason from Evanston," he was a child prodigy of talking about sports on the radio, he left his hometown to pursue greatness, but returned home prepared for even greater glory. Brothers love the monomyth!

EDIT: I suppose it's also arguable that LeBron belongs to black America more than Michael Jordan, who could fairly be said to belong to the universe.
