What a breath of fresh air to hear a different partner with Bernstein today. Not only that, but Anthony Herron is phenomenal! I loved the show today and good god, does Herron blow Goff out of the water. Hopefully the Score sees what we see with this show. They can't keep going on with Goff attached to the show...

Anyone else agree?

Leaps and bounds better. Not as much joking around and silliness from Dan (which was what made B&B great) but that would come with more familiarity.

I texted the show around 5:30: "Anthony is so much better than Goff at thinking and talking and not laughing at weird times."

May be a bit on the vanilla side, but being ex player he gets bonus points. Recall the first time I heard him was impressed then, impressed today. Could move goff back to producer and call it a promotion ala Matty path

I think he would become less vanilla as he gets more comfortable.

Like Jason's "I'm really a guy with street cred bit", this whole "I'm going contrarian" thing is getting old.

Producer Jason Goff was awesome. This new version is getting really old and quite annoying.

I find him mostly enjoyable in the small doses I've experienced. Don't know how well it would wear long term but he appears to be solid.

Beardown: Half of Herron and half of Goff would be the perfect combo.

Goff: Are you trying to make the ultimate sports radio black?

Beardown: I knew you would put it that way. No. The perfect sports talker regardless of race.

Goff: Cracker ass motha fucka!!!

You have yourselve to blame, Goff was always boring, dumb and useless... In your rush to congratulate a black guy.. You all over rated some dumb stuttering fool who rambles on about mundane shit... Goff, Larry, Abattaclueless.. All worthless.. Mitch ran the station into the ground and you all keep listening n complaining.. If you truly think the product blows (it does) then stop listening.. In 14 months all these hacks will be replac6.

Herron was great. He needs to save Goff from himself.

Back to the booth, dude.

It was just nice to hear Bernstein drive the show instead of his bumbling, less-talented, less-interesting cohost.

Yep.

Anthony Herron, Jr. is a white sox minor leaguer though, so his dad can bring some balance to the station.

I thought Anthony Herron was Noah Herron, former NU star running back. Both played for the Packers though,.

This is the antithesis of the CFMB credo however.

Goff has a child to support. Best believe he was going to get off his deathbed to move souls after hearing Herron.

Bernstein really seems to have a problem with Zobrist. I know he sucks, but he takes every opportunity to single him out.

Zobrist is vocal (although he doesn't appear to be obnoxious about it) about his Christian faith and his wife is a Christian pop singer.

I think that explains much of it.

The great Christian persecution continues.

100% truth. These people draw an unusual amount of his attention. Meanwhile, Zobrist seems like one of the most solid guys around and doesn't really proselytize. I still remember receiving a block long of neighborhood well wishers to his home after the World Series even though he was exhausted.

On a side note, I saw his wife up close and personal at the Cubs-Sox games. She has such an odd look especially for a Christian rocker. Would not.
