DeKalb Brand Seed Corn presents starting RB Mike Epstein.

The Freshman looks good and stop taking our tax money for ethnic minorities.

If they mention Northrup-King, I'll tune in.

Spent many a Summer throwing those "40s" around that my Dad sold. At least got a day out of school.

Good times.

You're sitting on a gold mine, huh? What are we talking, 6 or 7 thousand acres? Just don't forget your friends.

I had more Dekalb paraphernalia growing up than Chicago sports gear. The flying ear still brings a s,Ike to my face even though the family sold out 28ish years ago. If I found only get a pig hat. Haven't seen one of those for 25 years probably.

If we had that many acres, I'd be farm baron. I'd own this site.

Why do you think I went to UofI?

For the same reason anyone who grew up on a farm and scored higher than a 25 on their ACT does... because their dad went there and they're waiting until he croaks so that they can finally make the farm hands fear their authority.

My Dad went to a one-room schoolhouse.

I couldn't dismiss his "I walked a mile in the snow to get to school" stories - because he actually did.

It was quite frustrating. I had many quips ready.

I kid.

Neither of my parents went to college.

I'd still consider them to be more practically intelligent than 99% of people I've ever met.

I like the fact the Illini are 2-0. I don't care who the opponent was,the idea is stockpiling wins to get to a decent bowl game. NU thinks they are Ohio St. and get's their ass handed to them by Duke which really is an embarrassment. Duke was not weak enough of an opponent. Search the graveyard for real stiffs and STOCKPILE!!

GO LOVIE!

This is a tweet meant to reject the notion that White is a bust

Guess what? Not every body (actual body) is made for professional sports. Especially football. It's just that simple.

"The game was the game"

Those were Jason's comments on the Bears game. That's some brilliant analysis.

Whether he sucks at football or doesn't have a body that can withstand football, he is a bust nonetheless. BUST!

No "Body" is meant to play football. It's just some people get hurt more than others. White's body is no different than any other WR in the league. So I don't know what Goff is talking about.

So he's against people calling White a bust, but then suggests that White's body may just not be made for pro sports?

Semantically speaking I don't know if a "bust" only gets called that if they suck on the field, but I think I see where Goff's coming from cuz it's not really Kevin White's fault thst he's been a NFL nothing (unless it comes out thst he doesn't take care of himself at all or something)

If I'm reading this right, Goff is being a bit of a pedant in how he uses and allows others to use the term "bust". Which, come to think if it, may be exactly what he's referencing when he says "I do this for a living".

It seems he wants to reserve the "bust" tag, in this instance so he can argue with people and call them dumb, for a player drafted high who fails to produce for his drafting team or washes out of the league because of a lack of physical ability or requisite skill (a bad player) rather than because of injury (a hurt player).

This hyper-technical definition is silly, because while people don't know whether Greg Oden would have been a tremendous NBA player, they do know that he was a bust of a draft pick.

I disagree. Durability is part of the player.
