I didn't watch it but potential Bernstein Acolyte Feud. Most people seemed to like the 30 for 30. Bernstein says he's happy he never knew who he was (couldn't find that old thread) and that he was a bad guy, mean, and compared him to Trump. Baffoe immediately backtracks on why he thought it was good. This could be fun. |

Professional troll Dan Bernstein. Dr. Kenneth Noisewater wrote: I'm firing it up now. Don't know much about Ric Flair. It's very good. |

I will repeat that Dan Bernstein could not have lived in the heart of Crockett country in the late 1980s and not known of Ric Flair. |

Just saw it. Not sure what to say. The thing w/ his kids was messed up. didnt know about his daughter being in the biz and champ. Didnt know he lost a son to wrestling too. But his daughter going into wrestling right after the brothers death was sort of weird. I personally like Flair. Always have. Scott Van Pelt had a interview w/ him on sportscenter later on. |

I was about to make fun of Bernstein for watching a 30 for 30 where he didn't know/care about the subject and then I remembered The Two Escobars was my favorite one. 30 for 30 docs are always great. I'll check this one out soon. But yeah, Bernstein sucks. |

They should do one on the Von Erichs. I always thought that family was a fascinating story. Tragic. |

Everyone has songs or themes stuck in their head forever for whatever reason. This one I hum at least once a week for no particular reason : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Xxkzq8gzIo |

How were you able to watch a Dallas-based promotion? They couldn't have had TV in Chicago. |

It's funny to see all these guys I saw in the WWF later when they were obviously more in their prime. |

That shit Texas Von Erich Wrestling was on 50 or 60. AWA was king in Chicagoland for a long time until WWF knocked it off when they got big. The Texas shit I always hated. It was so hokey and I really disliked the Von Erichs. That leauge just was shit but the theme song got stuck in my head forever. |

Loved it. The shit they had to do with Vern Gagne was crazy. 21 flights of stairs carrying a dude in a firemans carry? |

Ok, White Elephant in the room, Ill bring it up : Did anyone really buy that skinny fuck Greg Gagne was AWA World Champion or even a damn wrestler?? It was nice to see him on the documentary though. |

No, World Class with the Von Erichs was Dallas. I didn't think their TV spanned that far. I figured by the time promotions were chasing TV deals market-by-market, it was pretty much down to the WWF and NWA. But I guess they did have TV here! |

Someone tl;dr this episode for me ... just curious what they dug in to (aside from the obvious high points of the plane crash, Reid, philandering, etc.), what clips they showed, etc. |

The AWA had a loaded roster that pretty much sent the WWF to its great heights but it was so bone-dry that it made JCP look like Russo booked it. Interesting that Crockett made pretty good inroads in Chicago in the '80s. Had to have been as far north and as far west as they really made it. |

I didn't do it that often like WWF stuff but I liked Kerry Von Erich. |

Kerry Von Erich once tied his headphone cord into his boots and almost snapped his neck. I suppose he got around to it eventually. |
