Jason refuses to go to a movie if he doesn't reserve seats a week beforehand. He also said he likes having a table beside so he doesn't have to hold the popcorn in his lap.

Many? I haven't gone to the movies much recently. What I found strange is that Goff asked Bernstein if he reserved his 2 seats for an 11:30 am showing on a Sunday.

Absolutely MANY have reserved seating. Makes it great going to the theatre.

Why are we ripping on Goff for this? He likes to reserve seats. So what?

I never do it because I wait 2 or 3 weeks after a big movie is released. At that point you can walk into a half filled theater and have room. Especially if you go in the day. I've never felt the need to see movies on the first weekend. Even if you reserve a seat, you're still in a packed theater where there will be lines. Why deal with that shit?

I wish we had theatres out here like that. Either give me the theatres that remind me of the ones from early 80’s or these with the tables and lounge chairs.

The first time I wad asked about reserved seats, I didn't know wtf they were talking about, but it never seemed to matter one way or the other.

The last time I was in a movie theater was to see Sully Sullenberger because it was for work. The time before that... I honestly don't recall but maybe Iron Man 3? I have no attention span for that anymore.

Paying $30-50 for two people to watch a movie is beyond me as well.

We have Netflix and alcohol at home.

They never addressed the real problem with reserved seating. Sure it is nice to know you have a seat in advance but what it cannot prevent is finding a seat where you are not surrounded by others. I'll take a worse seat unsurrounded by others over a more perfect seat every time.

The big thing for me that the seat assignment eliminates is the long wait and line to get in. People do not want to wait an hour before a movie in order to assure a decent seat in a sold out movie.

Someone tell Jason this is another form of segregation. You too good to sit with the common folk? I bet he throws popcorn at all the white middle class trump voters at the theatre.

There are no decent seats in sold out movies.

I'm like Agent Smith in The Matrix when thinking about sharing a theater with humanity

I don't understand wanting to go see a movie the night it premieres. Go the next night or Sunday afternoon.

You select your seats at all of the theaters in Streets of Woodfield.

Reserved seats are the best...you can arrive 5-10 minutes late(when the movie ACTUALLY starts) and still have kick ass seats. Who wants to sit through 30 minutes of previews? Hate to do it, but Goff is spot on here.

occasionally i'll go for the VIP experience of overspending for the AMC IMAX with the reclining seats, and sure i'll pay $10 for a 22oz beer that i can take in and enjoy with the movie.

i'll be doing that for "star wars" in a week.
