Yet another time where he was passed over. McDoink got it over him this time. |

Wasn't McKnight kind of a Bernstein clone? |

He knows he can't get the midday slot. So what does he do? He works behind the scenes to demote Bernstein. Bernstein got Fredo'ed. And until this day he never knew it was Larry all along. Think about it. |

I don't think he honestly cares. He has the NBC gig and the DePaul thing. |

I don't think it's been confirmed on McDoink. But it would make sense. Bernstein hired him originally. And Doink will cry about racism with Bernstein. Only it will be two whites doing it. More comfortable for Score management then a black guy doing it. It will just be less often with this fucking white. And the laughing will stop. McNight isn't Jewish. But Bernstein thinks he's close enough. So that's why he got it. |

I'll hold out hope that they do something with Holmes, if not pair him with Dan for middays. I think he has the talent to carry a daypart in this town, and Bernstein is the perfect pro to pair him with. |

It is interesting that they would go outside the station to fill a puppet partner for Bernstein instead of just choosing an in-house option like Holmes. |

The depaul thing is uber- newspaper delivery boy money. He is on NBC Sports Chicago (previously Comcast Sports Net) for Bears pre/post. Unlike Jason, if Larry gets launched tomorrow as part of this overhaul (lets say that meatpants goes to Monday-Thursday nights to finish out his contract), Larry is diversified enough and knows enough people to be fine, although he'd have to hustle. He knows enough people that somebody will do him a favor and get him a tryout for per diem stuff. He could pick up college work via Learfield on the radio and ESPN3 for video. When he's not teaching at DePaul, he could easily pick up vacation shifts down in Phoenix where he has his condo, especially when nobody else wants to be there during the summer. Their sports radio sucks total ass down there, he'd be fine. Jason doesn't have the longevity, Jason doesn't have the contacts list, Jason doesn't have the "I can drive a boring format driven show... welcome back, it's time now for the coach's interview with Chuck" tape. He is Jason from Evanston, trying to be more than Jason from Evanston, trying to be serious. He's not even good enough to be a national show producer, guys like Shannon Penn (Bomani Jones), Mike Ryan (Dan LeBatard), or any of Dan Patrick's producers are so much better than Jason both on the mic as well as with production values that it's not even funny. |

If the comments to the Feder story are any indication, Leery has national juice. He just may be the puppetmaster MANY fear. |
