I'm asking? It's been a couple of months now. I catch them at lunch. I've podcasted some transitions. That's about it. From what I gather he's scared and grateful that Goff got it instead of him. He's not gonna try to save the world and it's easier with his new vanilla partner to do so. Seems like cool MLB metrics talk is what they want to do instead of child rape and racism. What do you think? |

He seems content and letting the show evolve. Good for him. Good for us. We need him. |

Bernsie dealing with this is sort of like Leash taking over the board from Brick. |

Did Doink just say Orioles fans are going to head north to Washington (meaning the Nats). I believe that would be heading south.... |

Its a solid yet boring show. The entertaining and drive off the road funny Dan (circa 2008) is gone forever. We are left with a prematurely old soul that would rather talk about his wife's wedding planning venture and golf than actually entertain. I feel left with the Kid Cairo Youtube collection as the only reminder of what was once an incredibly talented radio personality. |

I've been told that on several occasions that he has a degree in English and is smart. Not that misspeaking like that means he's dumb, but being told over and over that he is so smart makes me think he's probably not. I was also told that Jurko was the funniest man in the NFL at one point, yet I have never seen evidence of him being particularly funny. |

In any case, this Iowa coach, didn't B&B used to hate this guy? I am mis-remembering that? |

That was Alford. Bernstein would be perfect on 1000. He would be considered an edgy addition. |

The draft guy who is on with them now was on the station last night on the national show that aired after 9:00 PM. |

Bernstein is such a spaz. At the 11:30 update he congratulated the update anchor for using xFIP. He commended the anchor for recognizing the type of baseball fan a Bernstein and McKnight listener is and accordingly using an advance stat in his update. |

As we all know, Bernstein, above all else, is a company man. I actually think he's happy that he was told to change. And obviously he's gonna comply. Had he been told 5 or 6 years ago he would have complied as well. Bernstein wants to survive. But Mitch never said a word to him. So this DeCastro came in and decided to put him in line. And Bernstein said "Yes, sir". It was always that simple. Mitch could have done so. But Mitch is scared of confrontation. Especially with Bernstein. Because he thinks Bernstein is smarter then him. Which he is. But he's still Bernstein's boss and could have actually changed him if he wanted to. |

And then you can't help but think about Goff's reaction. Because you know he's listening to Bernstein and Doink every day. Though he would never admit it. Goff has to be thinking the following about Bernstein... (Thought bubble over Goff's head as he listens to B&C) Goff: Damn mother fucker, I patterned my ass after your ass and my ass gets fired. Then your ass goes ahead and changes to a nicer ass. Plus you seem to like Doink's ass better then my ass. I hate your ass!!!! Ladies and gentlemen that is exactly what Goff is thinking. Word for word what he says to himself. Thank you. |

His partner does like to to take shots at the current President without saying his name. He's taken a few shots now from what I've heard. Bernstein hasn't actually responded to them (yet). Other than that, Bernstein seems to be taking a low key, mid-day approach vs. the approach he took to callers previously. I have no idea why the station felt they needed McKnight. He sounds like a backup fill-in host. He doesn't do anything to bother me, but there's just not much there. Maybe that's what they wanted after Goff's SJW shows, but they could have had that with Spiegal (and he had some personality). |

Nor do you like him. Which is bad for radio. There's just nothing to him personality wise. They always say you want half the people to love you and half the people to hate you. Bernstein agreed to change. Plus he's had years of decent success with Boers. Then Goff came and it went to shit. So they gave Bernstein a shot to change with a new partner. And he's done so. Goff is a proud and stubborn mother fucker. He wouldn't have changed. Decastro knew that. That's why they had to get rid of him. |

Geez. Maybe the station should enlist Spiegel to write a theme song for the show that's just about how smart Connor McKnight is. |
