Post subject:  5/16: Dan HAS Heard of The Lost Boys
He is a big fan of the movie as well as the soundtrack.

Considering all the things he claims to have never heard of, it's funny that he loves this movie and the soundtrack which he said his roommate freshman year of college played all the time. McDoink said since Dan likes it he will take it upon himself to find as many reasons as he can to say it sucks.

Dan seemed especially enamored with the oiled up saxaphone guy but stopped short of saying LOOK. AT. HIS. BODY. Not wang-whippy (and well all know what Dan means by that) enough, I guess.

And we, or at least I, learned yesterday that Dan doesn't like Radiohead. So he doesn't like The National or Radiohead?

Dan would really like a band complaining about how terrible and alienating the modern world is if he just gave them a chance.

I cracked up when Dan mentioned a Sid Bream and they started playing the theme to Jurassic Park. :lol:

Well, at least he’s a fan of Chubb Rock and Public Enemy, among others from the late 80s/early 90s NY underground.

Plus, he probably hasn’t heard the right shit. Front-to-back classics like this one:

He’s probably referring to stuff that they’ve put out in recent years. I’m not saying any of it is bad, but the early-to-late 90s was clearly their peak period. I doubt that he was ever exposed to deep album cuts off The Bends. He probably only heard a hit track like Fake Plastic Trees while watching an episode of Beavis & Butthead, and it’s kind of hard to appreciate them in that context.

Never watched Arrested Development but can go deep on Mel Brooks films and cite Fawlty Towers references. Stick to sports Bernstein since I definitely do not care about your pop culture opinions.
