Moved to Detroit and have been listening to Nick Valenti. He does afternoon drive in Detroit's entercom station. He runs a good show and manages by himself to bring coherent sports talk with none of the press conference importance SeƱor does. He called both nba conference title series bad basketball (despite being an NBA guy) and raved about the Stanley cup hockey. I'm in! https://971theticket.radio.com/articles ... cy-gutless |

This thread couldn't get any gayer if it was getting its back rubbed by SpiralStairs. |

Just pointing out to Mitch and Decastro that other stations in smaller markets don't have as many issues finding good talent. I loved the Danny Mac move, but Connor McKnight? As others have mentioned, fill in host at best. |

I'll cop to being another member of the Mike Valenti ALS. I always kind of liked him after the Michigan State-Notre Dame "MAKE PLAYS" rant that kind of went viral years ago but I've listened more often since Michigan hired Harbaugh just cause I enjoy him trolling the hell out of their fans. |

I see Detroit and Milwaukee style pizza now in Chicago grocery stores. |

My only exposure to Valenti has been his ubiquitous commercial for "The D Casino" in Las Vegas, heard every break during Tigers games. Didn't know he was the afternoon drive guy. Trolling M fans by MSU fans is the main tenet of the HUGE radio network, not much to hang your hat on there. |

I've heard Detroit sports talk radio a few times driving through the city and always thought it was surprisingly solid. |
