That's another thing I know for sure. But I've often suggested that to SCORE management before these bad times. Why waste another salary on a partner when Bernstein can carry it? Which he's done. You don't need anybody else just repeating what he says or nodding their head. McDoink, Goff and Boers did that. So it was always pointless to have him with a partner. If he needs somebody to talk to, he can just grab one of his producers. Which I've heard him do. Other then that, load him up with guests. I think a lot of radio stations are gonna realize it's more economical to have one guy do a show rather than two. They won't give Bernstein a new partner in good times. Pretty sure of that. |

Would like to see them try a partner who doesn't agree with him. |

Murph and Bernstien would make great radio. |

It’d actually be somewhat interesting if they intentionally set up the show to be adversarial. Meaning, both the hosts know going in that there is an expectation that each would generally take the opposite side of the issue. Now we wouldn’t want fake opinions, but rather, the selected partner would be more of an old school meat ball. He would get overly optimistic about the Bears win totals, talk about a player’s batting average, have lots of gambling thoughts, suggest lopsided trades for local teams, and the like. Ideally he would have politically right leaning thoughts. It’d probably bomb, but at least it wouldn’t be Dan and his pet parrot. |

It seems like most radio careers flicker out by about mid 50s. Bernstein is 50. Tick tok. |

If North stuck to ONLY SPORTS I would be for giving him a chance. When he sticks to sports he has a unique point of view from all the other cookie cutter radio hosts in the biz. |

He's got that polarizing thing that will keep him relevant until he wants to retire. So mid 60sl McNeil has proven your theory wrong. He's pushing 60 and just got a new contract. You're right in general, Good Dolphin. They get the young and cheap guys in radio for the most part. Especially for local radio. Mac and Bernstein are the exceptions, though. Boers lasted until 65 I think. He's another one. So there are exceptions. |

Always been bizarre to me that folks listen to solo hosts. I’ve never heard anyone good at it. Solo radio is always horrendous. |
