Part 1 defended Dan. Part 2 recognizes why he’s insufferable:

1. You. Don’t. Miss. Baseball.

According to Dan, if you don’t watch every pitch of every inning on TV, or if you don’t stay til the end of the game while attending in person, or if you don’t make every attempt to fully digest Fangraph stats mid-season then you don’t actually miss the game of baseball. You’re only lamenting a superficial, misplaced aspect of your identity. You don’t love the game, you’re just a loser who don’t love his family—so goes the take.

2. Think. As. I. Say. Not. As. I. Do.

The newest version of solo Dan loves to fan the COVID flames. And when he’s not doing that, he can’t wait to construct a pedestal, climb aboard, and tell everyone else why they are a racist, particularly if you’re a middle aged white male. Wait, Dan used racially charged terms in the past? You mean he made a living with homophobic, sexist charged drops for over 2 decades? Pay no mind to that man behind the curtain counting his money!!! Dan has changed but no one else is capable. And even though he’s changed, of course there’s no reason for him to directly acknowledge his past missteps...why should he when there are so many other people to litigate and badmouth!!

3. Critical. Thinking. Is. Critical.

Unless of course it undermines the narratives Dan seeks to push. Is it possible the COVID hysteria is overblown? Of course not. Only Drs. Are worth listening to. But only the Drs. That Agree with Dan. Is it possible some Pockets of protesters championing Black Lives Matter are merely being opportunistic and doing more harm than good? Of course not! Don’t be on the wrong side of history. And if Theo acknowledges his underlying prejudice, you owe it to yourself to admit the same!! Otherwise you’re a bigot like Marge Schott!

Dare I say he’s changed his tune to suit his agenda

I cant believe people still hate listen to him. On a much smaller scale his demise in Chi radio reminds me of stern after going to Sirius.

I have not listened to stern in probably 15 years. He did a 180 of himself to be accepted as Hollywood Howie.

Bernstein act just got boring and there are no sports. Still think he is a good follow on twitter during Bears games. He makes me laugh then.

Leaving games early is great when there is a good reason to.

I enjoy Dan the most when he is on during parts of the day I have almost no chance of consuming. He doesn't exist for me but for this board.
