Makes you wonder…not so much from a financial standpoint, but it has to be jarring to see your spouse go off the deep end like that publicly.

She's written about how she has BPD, assuming that's in check, I have to imagine there's quite a bit of empathy there

I'm guessing she thinks it is as stupid as most people do for him to get fired over this.

although if it's true he could've come back had he issued an apology, all bets are off. That is your-wife-getting-mad-at-you catnip. "just apologize, who cares" x the rest of your life.

This specific incident will have 0 impact on her career. "Sorry, I can't hire you. I'm on Team Messenger."

all he had to do is say I'm sorry and he'd still be employed?

these radio ppl ego's are out control. what do they contribute to society to have such huge egos? I can understand a doctor thinking he/she is god since they save lives. But a sports radio personality? GTFO

any normal person would apologize and be grateful they have a job working only 4 hours a day and getting paid millions of dollars.

You’re absolutely right about Bernsteins wife . She is pissed that he upset their lifestyle over being tough guy over a fish comment.

I think the daughter is done with college. But the boy has 2.5 years left at Tulane. What are you guys thinking? 50k a year for that? Maybe more

Pretty much fucked up his sons start to a career. He was his cohost on that bulls podcast. Think Audacy will allow the kid to pick Dan’s replacement?

I dont know if young Jason was seriously planning to go into broadcasting or if what he's doing with unemployed host is just a hobby but thats a terrible career choice if he is.

Yes. I know. Me saying if he would pick his replacement was a joke. I hate that I have to explain my jokes.

Nonetheless it means young Jason is fired too cuz of his dad. That was my point.

Jason probably got a few bucks for doing that podcast. Not much. But some sort of earnings.

barstool Chicago should hire her for the Danny Bernsie funeral luncheon on the gym floor at Barstool Chicago...like the old Howard Stern funerals when he would win the rating book

Just for fun I looked at Beth’s planning page. There is actually a part apologizing if you are not spending $1,500 per person for your event. They will not be able to accommodate you.

lol I guess Dan will be fine.

not sure if daniel from deerfield was offered anything to leave - as in a buyout. if so, may have been given money for a HSA, which is tax-free. will need every penny of that - assuming his wife is self-employed and can't add him to her health insurance. he'll need health insurance, and the govt. soaks you if you're at an upper-level income (dividends/rental income/trust income) applying for ACA. ACA is great if your occupation is collecting aluminum cans on the street for $$, not so much so if you're at a higher income/don't want to work for health insurance benefits/under age 65.

I too wondered if he received a buyout. There are also annual limits to how much he can contribute to an HSA. While he doesn't need to have earned income to contribute, he does need to be covered by a high-deductible health plan.

Quote:
For 2025, the Health Savings Account (HSA) contribution limits are $4,300 for individuals with self-only coverage and $8,550 for those with family coverage, with an additional $1,000 catch-up contribution allowed for those age 55 and older.

i've seen companies offer up to $150k (age 60 and under) in HSA money to individuals to accept a buyout. $150k tax-free is incredible - like a check for $215k.

yes, he needs health insurance or he'll have an issue at tax time.

Buyout?

He was fired for cause. He’d be lucky to get six months salary.
