Seems like a no brainer. There's nothing compelling on that station currently. |

I'm pretty sure Kap is not a Bernstein fan. Called him a jackass in the past. |

ESPN Corporate probably wouldn’t allow Good Karma to do that and the money they would offer would be beneath him anyway. |

Every partner that Bernsie has had has called him a jackass! Would love to see it. Haven't listened to 1000 in a long time. |

He barely ever took time off at the Score and is one of those people who believes that if you stop working, you die (probably something he picked up from his dad, but it hits different when your work is to show up for four hours to wing a radio show). |

I think very very few decisions aren’t made at the corporate level when it comes to air persona and contracts. |

Portnoy is a jackass, that's part of the appeal. I think Kap is a moron, but him and Bernstein would be good. The real opening to me at 1000 is middays. Carmen and Jurko is so bad, I've never understood even 1% of the appeal of it. It barely sounds like a professional radio show and not in a good way. |

Trust me, I am eminently aware of this! I also don't think ESPN would stop him from hiring Dan. |

The teaming would be dan and hood. They’ve worked together and worked well. They both have had humbling experiences. |

Transfers usually don’t receive merit money and tulane has to be 80k+ when expenses are factored. Nobody has enough money when he has kids in college |

I expect that he will be sitting in for a host that goes on vacation as a trial balloon. Could be on 1000, but I could also see him sitting in for Parkins in the near future. Edit: WGN’s current radio lineup could certainly use a shakeup and Bernstein has aged into their demo. A kinder, gentler Dan would fit in, or perhaps the angry version to shock listeners out of their afternoon nap. |

Parkins doesn’t get to make that call I doubt fs1 is looking for dans perpetually snaring, 55 year old face on its station |

By the way, parkins always gives nice goodbyes. He doesn’t mean it. He’s just wise He was even kind to sir, who was terrible to parkins |

good dolphin wrote: Parkins doesn’t get to make that call I doubt fs1 is looking for dans perpetually snaring, 55 year old face on its station I agree that he doesn’t get to make the call, but he can certainly put the name out there. He seems to have Cowherd’s ear. I also think Parkins was on board with Bernstein’s style. Larry was a different story though. |

Bernstein belongs on the Bears flagship. WSCR has always been down dial of the beloved even when they were the same family. Bears Monday without Dan is bullshit and 670 is about to find this out the hard way. |

Wasn't Bernstein like 20 years ago was offered the chance to go national? Following the Mike Greenberg path? I think that was his big shot but now it's too late. I don't think AM1000 will want him since he's got a bad rep. now w/ the incident. And Dave Portnoy is a big national star. With this recent tweets anti-Bernstein I think it's almost like the guy blackballled him in the industry. |

It just wouldn't work out for either side. I doubt anyone is going to offer Bernstein any major dough. He's too much of a pain in the ass and now he has stink on him. Dan should start a video podcast on YouTube or something. I'm sure he has a relationship with sponsors that he can bring over to YouTube |

Don't get me wrong - Parkins is pug fugly and has a face for radio, but Bernstein would be even more unpleasant to look at at this point in his life. |

I can understand "good" or "something to listen to", but "great" lineup? I have a hard time imagining him on that station, "great" lineup for not, unless they chose to sequester him to an early evening show by himself or something. |

No way, ESPN am 1000 likes hosts that are more listener friendly. Not pompous, verbose asswipes that can't even get along with their teammates. Plus, his takes on sports are awful. He would be better off working a liberal station that focuses on politics, where he can just try to impress the audience with how evolved, woke and liberal he is. |
