"The Boers & Bernstein Show" will be a busy one, in addition to Gary from Evanston's favorite segment, "Who Ya Crappin'?" come 5p this afternoon.

In addition to hearing Derrick Rose's GW shot to beat the Bucks and extend the Bulls' win streak to 8 going into a nationally televised game this eve on the Bulls' favorite national cable channel TNT vs. Dwight Howard's Magic on the West Side, this is the game plan for the Thursday show:

*3p: Davidson Head Coach Bob McKillop
*3:30p: "The Second Half"
*4:30p: James Varney (Not the 'Hey Vern' Guy)-New Orleans Times/Picayune
*5p: "WYC"

I know The SCORE no longer carries "The Dan Patrick Show", but the guy who should be front & center as Bruce Weber's replacement, VCU's Shaka Smart, joined Dan today...

That was the early '90s during the changing times of Saturday morning TV, Spaulding. It was one of two sitcoms that spun off from "Saved by the Bell". The other show was "California Dreams". Yeah, SHARK doesn't have a life...

Spiegel just called Bernstein Skip Bayless, and I just decided to give Spiegel a big hug the next time I see him.

Speaking of Skip Bayless, you think he's now having second thoughts about Tim Tebow with the Broncos among 12 teams interested in Peyton Manning?

Not a bit. Bayless worked that for everything it was worth.

Isn't one of the rules of a "spin off" that a character must move from the previous show, like the Gene Keady looking Bill Kirchenbauer's Coach Graham T. Lubbock moving from "Growing Pains" to "Just the 10 of Us"?

I cannot find any record of a "Saved by the Bell" character on either show.

OK, you got me on that one. However, "California Dreams" & "Hang Time" came from the man behind "Saved by the Bell", Peter Engel.

I'm really tired of these guys taking the thoughts of a vocal minority and applying it to an entire fanbase.

Scott Van Pelt & Ryen Russillo are looking for an audience up the dial. Then again, they're on ESPNEWS, too. Nevermind!

The only thing I can think is that Bernstein doesn't realize that you can search his @ mentions and see that "all these idiots Tweeting" is, maybe, one dude who Tweeted something half as bad as Dan is claiming. A couple of times I have gone in and looked to see "who" all these idiots were, and wasn't too stunned to find that most of the Tweets directed at Dan were his ALS.....not a ton of meatball fans screaming that Rose is better than LeBron or that Jay Cutler is a pussy etc.

Someone on staff please alert Dan that his strawman strategy only works for emails/texts "sent" into the station that we can't see....

Jenna is now following Matt on Twitter, so I'm sure his wife is excited about that, btw ;)

Ask the Randazzler...

Matt Abbatacola, normally the EP of this show, is doing "Scoreboard Updates" this afternoon. Herb Lawrence & Brett Lyons are producing the program now through 6p. The first "White Sox Live: Presented by Miller Lite" show with Sox Radio Network pre & postgame host Chris Rongey takes over at 6p followed by Abbatacola at 8p leading into "SCORE Overnight" with Les Grobstein & Adam Harris at Midnight.

Thx Harry for the info.

Also, when can Bernsy stop asking 15 minute long questions?

The more I hear Illinois' head basketball coach Bruce Weber talk, the more I think it won't be much longer before he gets his walking papers. Besides, the guys are standing by their story that Reggie Theus might be the guy to replace Weber, not VCU's Shaka Smart.
