Well, a few days have now passed since Derrick Martell Rose's 4th season was cut short due to a torn ACL. Tonight, the Rose-less Bulls try to "Win 1 for #1" as they host the 76ers in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference 1st Round NBA Playoff series at United Center. I'm reasonably sure the Rose-less talk will die down just a smidge and the guys will preview Game 2 tonight of this first round series.

Also, what in the hell was the Knicks' A'mare Stoudemire thinking?! It's bad enough they lost 104-94 in Miami last night in Game 2 and are now down 0-2 to the big, bad Heat, but now Stoudemire is likely out the rest of the series because he hurt his hand in anger after the game last night! You'd think this embarrassing injury and other NBA Playoff stories would be part of the discussion between 1:15p-ish & 6p as well.

Bad Chicago baseball continues as the White Sox host the Indians at an empty U.S. Cellular Field tonight in the first of 3 this eve, while the Cubs and Reds start a series in Cincinnati tonight. Hard to believe, the Rangers' Josh Hamilton & the Dodgers' Matt Kemp have more homers themselves than the Northsiders as a team. Mr. Kemp and his NL-leading 12 homers visit Wrigley over the weekend, while Hamilton has as many homers as the Cubs as a team...9.

All of that and who knows what other silliness will occur before Laurence "Mr. Multimedia" Holmes brags briefly about his upcoming trip to Las Vegas for Saturday night's Miguel Cotto/Floyd Mayweather Middleweight title fight coming up with Terry & Dan B. on 670 The SCORE & 670thescore.com after the daily crosstalk with Mac & Spiegs at 1p.

True, but tonight's Game 2 is the first of many Bulls' games minus Derrick Martell Rose in the lineup. It's something that we'll have to get used to, not just as long as these Bulls last in the NBA Playoffs now, but when they return for training camp in October & when the NBA goes back to a traditional 82-game regular season schedule in November.

I don't think you will see #1 in the Bulls' lineup until possibly after the first of the New Year, and the same for Luol Deng once he finally undergoes surgery on his left wrist after the Summer Olympics in London. Sad but true.

They've been without Rose for 27 games this season.

Should be old hat for we Bulls fans by now.
