It's from the WYC song and the phrase, "Hey Buddy...who ya crappin?" As B&B told the story, they were at Bears training camp in Platteville and J-Hood was producing the show. Apparently B&B's headphones were on a delay because they were trying to sing along with the end of the song but they were way late. So J-Hood clowned them for it by randomly shouting "Hey Buddy!" at various times. BTW, Mini Ditka does not ever deserve a legit answer to any question, but I figured I'd be nice this once. |

In the mid 1980's while at summer camp a 3'11" Dan Bernstein needed help reaching the outhouse toilet. A creepy old groundskeeper named Terry got his attention by saying "Hey buddy do you need a hand". |

Now, here's a question: Is that one loud and high-pitched "hi buddy" a doctored up clip of Dr. Nick Riviera from the Simpson saying "Hi everybody?" Always thought it was. |

The actual "Hi Buddy" drop is Homer Simpson's drunken friend Barney Gumble. |
