He's is aging, and you never know.

He gets so many vacation days.

Is there a replacement ready?

Do we have draft someone? When is Boears going to pass the torch?

It's been mentioned before, all you need is a sound board with about 10-15 "Boers Sounds". Press them at random times and *BOOM* you have Terry Boers in studio!

Mac and Bernstein would not be a good show. I do like the Terry soundboard idea...

Mac would strangle Bernstein in the first week.

McNeil and Bernstein would be some of the best sports radio in the country.

Now, this is a legitimate concern.

Here is your new lineup:

Mac in the Morning/Morning Mac (working title) 5-9
Jason Goff & Matt Abbata Cola 9-1
1-6 The Dan Bernstein Show
Prof. Laurence Holmes 6-10
10-12 Joseph O and Connor McKnight
Les Grobstein 12-5

We'd like to that Mully & Hanley for all their years of blah blah blah blah.....gtfo

There's a big hole midway through that lineup.

I'm not a big Joe O fan either, but Connor seems to do well with him...

The Dan BernSTINE Show?

I would have said The Larry Holmes show, but whatever floats your boat.

I can all but guarantee Bernstein will do a solo show after Terry retires. It's the only thing that makes sense.

Laurence is great in his current night time spot The people who don't want to listen don't have to since it's on at nite. But the people who do, like me and bigfan, get all the groovy weird stuff that doesn't quite work at any other time of the day...

i would listen to bernsy solo if he beat his dick while doing the show at the same time. that might be funny. otherwise he sucks alone.

i mean really... havent any of you heard bernstein solo? it would make fantastic npr material. honestly i think the best fit is bernstein and goff, but since goff doesnt have the proper education im sure theyll give the job to holmes and the score will fall another notch down. dont worry about who is the best fit or anything, just hire people that spent all their credit on upper education so they are forced to work for your shitty wage. /thread

Bernsy is more than capable of flying the show solo.

It's either that or stay doing middays. I think he'll choose mornings. He's the second most powerful host at the Score, but Bernstein isn't giving up afternoons...

When his show stops being entertaining. Doesn't matter how or why, it's just enjoyable...

He might consider it when his kids are old enough to play sports...but Mac in the morning will never happen.

Bernstein solo was a far more appealing concept 10 years ago, 5 years ago than today. He displayed a passion and exuberance sports that has since been displaced. A solo Bernstein show would now be best in the evenings.

Would you think Mac would take a pay cut to do middays back when MJH was killin it? We're both just guessing, we don't know. Just my take...

Good sir, I regret to inform you that you have apparently misspelled 'embarrassing'.

If Mike Francesa can host a solo show on The SCORE's sister station, New York's WFAN, Bernsy can too. When The SCORE aired "The Dan Patrick Show", albeit on tape delay, Bernsy actually filled in and did a nice job as guest host.

Considering the fact DP is headed to London in late July to host NBC Sports' Summer Olympic coverage, they're going to need someone more than likely to guest host Patrick's show while he's across the Pond. The SCORE might no longer carry the Patrick show, but it hasn't stopped guys from non-"DP Show" affiliates from guest hosting the show.

A Bernstein solo show wouldn't last long term. One of the best things about the show when it's good is that it's funny. It's very hard to be funny solo on the radio.

If anything, there will be a lesser co-host like Mac had/has with Spiegel.
