It's only been 2 days since former Penn State football assistant coach Jerry Sandusky's sex abuse trial started. The testimony that's already been mentioned, not only on this show, but on the news as well, has already got me Sandusky-ed out and prepared to PTFB the longer the disgusting details are made public. It will be hard to escape once the verdict is officially announced, but because of all the Sandusky talk, I'm not sure the guys will discuss OTHER things between 1:15p-ish & 6p following the daily transition with Mac & Spiegs.

They could discuss the Thunder's big win over the Heat in Game 1 of the NBA Finals, featuring way too much Kevin Durant & Russell Westbrook in the final 24 minutes in Oklahoma City. They could discuss how much longer Chris Bosh comes off the bench and whether he starts Game 2 tomorrow night as Miami tries to split the first 2 games of these Finals.

They could discuss a big White Sox road win over the Cardinals as Jose Quintana continued to build his case for sticking around even when John Danks returns from a sore shoulder perhaps as soon as next week when the Cubs visit U.S. Cellular Field. They could also mention Adam Dunn, Paul Konerko & A.J. Pierzynski, along with tonight's starter Jake Peavy as potential White Sox All-Stars.

Speaking of the Cubs, they knocked off the Tigers last night at Wrigley, complete with the playing of Steve Goodman's "Go Cubs Go" at the end of the ballgame over the P.A. Might the guys also question the timing of hitting coach Rudy Jaramillo's firing during this afternoon's show?

Last but not least, might the guys even mention the Bulls moving from their longtime practice home in Deerfield to a new, privately-financed facility near United Center that was confirmed by the Tribune's K.C. Johnson this morning? Also, how much more disgusting will the Sandusky case be made in court out in PA today? Only one way to find out...

Why is it so important that I read every detail?

I get that its a big story, and Im following the major parts, but I dont turn on the SCORE hoping to hear about such things.

It doesnt totally bother me, but I usually change the station if they go back to back Sandusky segments.

I think "Sanduskeyed Out" may have a different meaning...

The Jerry Sandusky story, like it or not, deserves to be told. When the verdict is eventually reached, it will hard to escape whether you listen to this show, the other all-sports station or other outlets you get news & talk. While Bernsy made it loud & clear that this show will cover the Sandusky Trial like a blanket prior to opening ceremonies, I don't want these guys to devote the ENTIRE SHOW to this piece of monkey crap! If they want to tune out listeners by constantly talking about Sandusky & Penn State ad nauseum, they're doing a pretty good job.

That Drew Peterson case is an absolute joke! While Lifetime drew big ratings for Rob Lowe's portrayal in a made-for-TV movie earlier this year, to my knowledge, the former Bolingbrook Police Sergeant has yet to stand trial on whether he killed his third wife. Also, he's YET TO BE ACCUSED of ANY CRIME in the disappearance of Stacy Peterson. What's up with that?

I heard this also mentioned earlier with Mac & Spiegs during a chat with Comcast SportsNet's Mark Schanowski. Do the Bulls swing a possible Luol Deng or Joakim Noah deal if it means luxury tax relief and possibly money to play with, sort of speak, while Derrick Rose recovers from a torn ACL? Right now, that might be the ONLY way for these Bulls to make any kind of move because they are up against the luxury tax threshold that Uncle Jerry doesn't want to pay.

That was quite a 2nd half last night. Kevin Durant & Russell Westbrook were so $$$$! I know the Heat are on the spot in Game 2 tomorrow, but I wouldn't be shocked if the Thunder held serve and took a 2-0 lead in the NBA Finals. That crowd in Oklahoma City is one of the loudest in the league...
