After all the blabbering back & forth concerning creepy Jerry Sandusky and his sex abuse trial in Pennsylvania over the last several days on this program, might Terry & Dan B. get back to actual sports talk & related silliness as they return to the SCORE Studios downtown this afternoon between 1:15-ish & 6p? Let's hope they do. Might the time be now for Terry to re-open his camp for White Sox 2B Gordon Beckham? Last night, Beckham smacked a 3-run homer to highlight a 2 for 4 Wednesday night in which he tied a career high 4 RBIs while Gavin Floyd was good at baseball for a change, going 6 1/3 innings in the Sox 7-0 shutout win over the Cubs. I don't want to get too carried away, but I saw this stat on Comcast SportsNet's sports news show "SportsNet Central" late last night. Might #15 now be considered the latest in a long line of "Cub Killers"? With his 2 for 4 Wednesday night, Beckham is a lifetime .357 hitter vs. the Chicago National League Ballclub. It is Gordon's second highest career BA vs. any team. I'm not sure what it all means, but I'm sure the guys will have reaction of their own to last night's White Sox winner and whether or not the Sox should consider themselves sellers, not buyers, at the MLB Trade Deadline next month. There's also the matter of LeBron James. His leg cramps aren't considered serious and will be good to go tonight when the Heat hopes to finish off the Thunder in Game 5 of the NBA Finals. LeBron suffered cramps and missed the final 56 seconds of the Game 4 win as Miami took a commanding 3-1 series lead on Oklahoma City. Could this be the night that LeBron wins his first NBA title? All signs seem to point that way for #6 and his Heat. Of course, there's that creepy Jerry Sandusky character, too. They had Yahoo! Sports writer Dan Wetzel on the program in the second half of the show to update the guys on where things stand. Closing statements in this case are being read today and the judge plans on having the jury sequestered when they get the case, perhaps as soon as when Terry & Dan B. sign on this afternoon. I've got to think it'll be a legal upset if Sandusky is found not guilty, based on all the damning evidence I've read and heard to this point. Last but not least, if the guys want to talk "Sports Biz" with Darren Rovell, this is their last chance to do so. Even though I follow Darren on Twitter @DarrenRovell, he's leaving CNBC and going back to the "Booyah Network" as Bernsy refers to ESPN. TheBigLead.com reported yesterday that Rovell is leaving the NBC Universal-owned business news/talk channel and re-joining the "All-Sports Network" for a second tour of duty there. Rovell will also cover sports business for ABC News, according to the Web site. All of that, plus Gary from Evanston's favorite segment "Who Ya Crappin'?" come 5p. A word of warning though. "WYC" could be bagged depending on how soon jurors reach a verdict in the Sandusky Trial. I've said this before, and I'll say it again. Once a verdict is reached in the Sandusky Trial, it'll be hard to avoid. |

Your initial post is a tad wordy. Right, Tad Wordy? I've got no problem with a wordy post, from SHARK, sini or anyone else. If you want to write a book, go for it. My problem is my own - I waste too much time trying to figure out the content. I don't know why I wasted time trying to figure out what SHARK wrote: Even though I follow Darren on Twitter @DarrenRovell, he's leaving CNBC and going back to the "Booyah Network" as Bernsy refers to ESPN. . . . means. I initially took it to mean that that Rovell is leaving CNBC in spite of SHARK following him on Twitter. Then I thought it might mean that SHARK is reconsidering his following of Rovelle because he's joining ESPN. I finally decided that neither was reasonable and realized it didn't matter and I was just wasting time - which again, is my issue. |

I've been following Darren Rovell on Twitter long before TheBigLead.com reported the news yesterday of Rovell leaving CNBC for ESPN/ABC. All it means is that the guys won't have Rovell on their show, let alone "The Dan Patrick Show". That's what this means. |

Listening to transition and B&B are saying that the crowd at the remote yesterday was full of White Sox fans straight out of central casting -- it don't think they meant it to be flattering. Does the benefit that Buffalo Wings and Rings gets from having them there outweigh having the hosts essentially call their patrons white trash? Or do they not care what they say as long as they get the name and address right? |

No sooner are they back at the SCORE Studios today, they're right back on the road tomorrow at the Bull & Bear, 431 N. Wells, for the "Bud Light 'Who Needs Two?' Tavern Tour" live broadcast. |

Why did you quote my post if you weren't going to answer my question? Buffalo Wings & Rings number one selling sauce is mild. Customers order this sauce 37% of the time, compared with the next closest, medium, only 15%. In fact, those in attendance yesterday were witness to our hosts nibbling on 8 boneless. What flavor, you ask? Why medium of course. |

As for today's show, here's the game plan: *3:30P: "The Second Half" *4:40P: MLB Network's Joe Sheehan *5P: "Who Ya Crappin'?" "Scoreboard Updates": Zach Zaidman With no White Sox game, Laurence Holmes has a "full boat show" starting at 6p, but he won't be at the SCORE Studios. The Sox will be a big part of Laurence's nighttime show this eve, as Miller Lite, the Sox & The SCORE present a special roundtable with Sox TV analyst/Chicago Baseball Insider Steve Stone, Sox Pitching Coach Don Cooper & lefty starter Chris Sale. Those guys will talk White Sox and pitching in general LIVE from the Binny's Beverage Depot store on Roosevelt Road downtown from 6-10p tonight. One part of Laurence's "A Team", Joe Ostrowski, hosts a solo latenight show back at 2 Prudential Plaza from 10p-Midnight leading directly into "SCORE Overnight" with Les Grobstein & Adam Harris from Midnight to 5a Friday. |

So Bernstein needed someone to email him to let him know that the Big Ten got a good deal in the new playoff stuff? Of course they did. The Big Ten and SEC control the whole thing. |
