Deep down, Dan Bernstein doesn't care about the child raping that went on. Of course it was bad, but everyone knows it's bad. He cares about bashing college sports and "hero worship". That's why he's so mad that other coaches said that boys have showered there too(you know, like any high school in the country). That's why he blames the fans. That's why he constantly links Coach K to this for daring to not say that Joe Paterno should burn in hell. That's why he wants the program shut down for 25 years.

Deep down, he knew Sandusky would be found guilty. It was an open and shut case. He wanted to believe that anyone at Penn State was going to attempt to let a child molester go free in order to save Paterno's legacy. That's why he has looked for any reason to think they want to save Joe Paterno.

Of course Bernstein is happy that Sandusky went to jail but he views this case as a way to continue the stupid battle he's had for years against the evils of college sports.

If "people are people" and "know right from wrong" then how in the world was he allowed to continue to rape children for decades, even though PEOPLE knew about it? Why are there so many Penn State fans STILL defending Paterno? To be fair, Penn State fans, and others from PA are not the only group of people that still choose to ignore the facts, but they sure do make up the majority of them.

Sandusky may have been the guiltiest of those involved, but just because he has been punished, it doesn’t mean that all the justice that needs to be served has been served. And it surely doesn't mean that it now clears the ignorant people of PA, and others across the country, for ignoring the serious atrocities that people like Joe Paterno committed.

Dan and Terry are part of a very select group that have reported on this story as it should have been reported. They didn't sugar-coat the story ,and they chose to report facts no matter how uncomfortable it may have made some listeners feel.

Jesus, how many in PA still want to name the stadium after Paterno!?!?

The bottom line is that PA is far from being saved from the napalm.

Both are smaller than the Steelers'. This is all I'm saying about the Pope of Pennsylvania crap: most people live at either end of the state and care significantly more about pro sports. Maybe Dan's napalm comments implicitly spare Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, but it doesn't sound that way. If he really thinks that Zombie Paterno has more pull in western PA than Dan Rooney, then I honestly don't know what to tell him.
