The White Sox traded for a Jewish guy! Expect Dan to be giddy as a squirrel about this, with no fewer than three mentions of "KEVIN YOUK-ILIS, OY!!!" in a Yiddish accent, one of which will also add "I'D LIKE A NICE PIECE OF WHITEFISH."

Jerry Sandusky will never be free again! This will be discussed a lot. Now we advance to civil cases against Big Daddy Penn State itself.

The Cubs got swept! This won't be discussed. Just part of the plan.

The NHL draft was this weekend! Hawks got another slight-bodied European, perhaps to make Marcus Kruger look bigger in comparison.

I'm gonna miss the show today, so this shall probably be my only contribution. :(

1) For the last few days/weeks, they have stated pretty clearly that the White Sox wouldn't be buyers in the market because they can't afford to do anything. They just took on about $2.0-$2.5 million with this trade. I'd say they were wrong about that.

2) Bernstein speculated that the new jury replacement last week was a possible hint that the defense knew something and that Sandusky would go free because of this. He also ridiculed the jury for the last several week, and Boers said the deliberations should have been over within minutes. They couldn't have been more wrong about this jury, however, I suspect they will give, at best, partial credit to the jury for their decision instead focusing on Penn St. and the cover-up.

Because they don't know shit. I heard Terry Boers talking about this guy Detroit has named Doug Fister. He was talking about him as if the Tigers had just gotten Sandy Koufax off the DL. Then I looked him up and this bum is 21-35 for his career. Bad. Just bad. Bad at baseball. And Terry Boers? Bad. Just bad. Bad at analyzing baseball.

I think Doug Fister is a pretty solid pitcher, but you're right, Boers made it sound like Detroit was getting a 'for sure' difference maker in return.

$2-$2.5 million is nothing. I wouldn't say that deal vindicates anybody.

I think he can be. Sometimes. But, uh, uh, eh, look, in Terry Boers' world, I mean Gavin Floyd who, uh, eh, eh has had a better career than this, this, uh, uh Doug Fister (by cracky! he he he he) is a bum, bad, just bad, bad at baseball, bad, while the 21-35 Fister is the savior of Detroit because we all know W-L record is uh, uh meaningless, uh uh, unless Terry is arguing with his partner about it for the love of God.

Stewart & Lillibridge were making close to $1 million between them this year. Does that offset some of the 2 million they are taking on?

They were pretty clear in stating that the White Sox can't afford anyone and wouldn't be buyers. They didn't take on the whole deal, but they didn't need to. They did take on money, and that's something that was not going to happen, according to Boers/Bernstein.

Sandusky was just the opening act of B and B vs. College Sports. Dan will channel all his anger at the obese monster that is college sports worship into this.

You will all look back FONDLY on the Sandusky shows by the time he's done beating this thing into the ground.

Its like when you think a storyline is finally over in the WWE after a big PPV, then on Raw they come out and they're running the same shit and youre like "oh great  ...Rock vs HHH for another 6 months"

I actually follow Bernsy on Twitter, and he continues to Tweet & Re-Tweet stuff from Sara Ganim, the Patriot News' reporter who has been on top of the Jerry Sandusky stuff as much as someone who was on twice during the trial, Yahoo! Sports scribe Dan Wetzel.

Here's the Monday game plan:

*NEXT: CSNNE.com Red Sox Writer Sean McAdam-Kevin Youkilis' Scouting Report
*3:30P: "The Second Half"

"Scoreboard Updates": Matt Rodewald

Rodie's NBC5 teammate Laurence Holmes has "Xfinity Feedback Zone Live" at 6p, followed immediately by Chris Rongey's "Horseshoe Casino/White Sox Radio Network Pregame" at 6:30p in advance of White Sox/Twins and Youkilis' White Sox debut at Target Field in Minneapolis. First pitch at 7:05p from the Twin Cities. Les Grobstein & Adam Harris have "SCORE Overnight" following Ranger's postgame tonight until 5a Tuesday. Appropriately, those guys have "Bum of the Week" after baseball. I wonder who could that be...

His idea is that the people who love Penn State football are complicit in this because the culture allowed it. Wouldn't this extend to all sports? Isn't the culture of sports ultimately to blame here more than Penn State fans?

Penn State fans aren't any more or less fanatical than a number of fan bases in other cities whether pro or college.

Joe Paterno stopped an airport expansion so he could not have prying eyes?

What exactly is Bernstein saying here? Is it that Joe Paterno was concerned that a child rape ring would be discovered if regional air service from Pittsburgh was possible?

There will be a lasting sting from what happened at Penn State University involving creepy Jerry Sandusky that may never be removed. It's a story that needs to be told, and there are so many layers to what happened. While Sandusky is headed for prison for the rest of his life and will die behind bars, there will be other creeps at (Un)Happy Valley, PA that will soon join Jerry's sorry ass in hell for what they did, or more importantly what they didn't do, to prevent what happened to all those underaged boys that were abused.

Okay, but surely you don't think that a guy who just wants to watch his alma mater play football on Saturday implicitly supports child rape, do you?

If that is true, then Bears fans implicitly support domestic violence.

Punish the fans for supporting The League with so much money it allowed Anderson the wherewithal to do his disgusting deeds. Shut down the NBA! bernstein needs to be punished for his role in this atrocity!
