As the mercury continues to rise outside, Terry & Dan B. are inside the SCORE Studios, hopefully air conditioned, this afternoon. What do you think the guys will talk about today? They could discuss the very latest in a pair of ongoing soap operas, albeit in real life. They'll probably discuss the latest in the ongoing Penn State football scandal, complete with what Joe Paterno did or didn't do and who could be next on the hit list besides creepy Jerry Sandusky. They could also discuss Dwight Howard continuing to act like an absolute diva and holding the Orlando Magic hostage as he tries to force them to deal him to the Brooklyn Nets and nowhere else. Also, might the guys also continue to scratch their heads over the rumored Nets/Joe Johnson deal with the Atlanta Hawks and what does it mean for Deron Williams' future? As for baseball, break up the Cubs! They've won 4 in a row, as 1B Anthony Rizzo went yard for the 2nd time in his short Cubs' career as they beat the Braves in Atlanta 4-1, thanks also to a pair of outstanding defensive gems by 2B Darwin Barney & 11 K's from Jeff Samardzija in the process. From the frying pan into the fire...The White Sox are home tonight to host a Rangers' team that should feel right at home bringing the hot weather & their hot bats with them from Arlington, TX. Chris Sale and Roy Oswalt start the series at The Cell tonight on The SCORE/White Sox Radio Network at 7:10p. The real fun involves Anthony John Pierzynski, and his likely motivation towards Rangers/A.L. Manager Ron Washington for holding him off the A.L. All-Star team next Tuesday in Kansas City. There might also be talk about whether Sale should even pitch in next Tuesday's midsummer classic, especially if the Sox keep Sale as scheduled to start the Sunday home game vs. the Blue Jays. All that, along with the latest NBA & NHL Free Agency news when necessary come 1:15p or so today. |

He'll host "Xfinity Feedback Zone Live" from the ballpark at 6p tonight. Chris Rongey will then have the OFFICIAL "Horseshoe Casino/White Sox Radio Network Pregame" at 6:35p for Rangers/White Sox live from the ballpark, too. First pitch at 7:10p from hot, steamy U.S. Cellular Field. |
